I bought the Chinese version of the Tech II at OBD2TOOL and you can access all of it. Looks like the cheapest is $220 but well worth it if you are going to work on it yourself.
Veepeak for C6 Corvette Review:
– I have something like this : Veepeak Mini WiFi OBD2 Scanner for iOS and Android. Reads and clears them from my phone just fine.
– I have used those (and similar) and they are good for what they do, but they will not scan the codes at the deeper levels he is talking about.

VX GM Nano for C6 Corvette review:
VX GM Nano is a tech II/MDI clone that comes with tech2win and GDS2 software for $109. So not only will it read all the codes down to the body level as well read all the data on all the modules, but has all the reset/ learn/program functions as a Tech II as well.
Hence if you need to cycle the abs pump for a brake breed, program a new fob in, do a crank position or throttle position re learn, program a new fob in, check the voltages of each module and much more that a tech II does, the blue driver is not going to due such.
So again, the VX GM Nano does everything that the Tech II that the dealer use does, and really more, since its a GM MDI clone and allows it to do the same on the newer vehicles that use GDS2 software instead.
Enter the VXDIAG VCX Nano. I was looking into clone tech II’s for the past couple weeks and stumbled onto this gem. There is very little info on this product, but I still had more faith in this thing and myself more than my own dealership so I took the plunge. For $119, I basically have the software version of a tech II device. I was able to unlock my radio in a matter of minutes. Have never used a real or upscale scan tool device so I can’t compare but just poking through some of the menus, it looks like I can do anything a tech II can. The cool thing is that the tech2win software runs just fine on my Windows 10 64bit laptop. Would be even cooler with a surface pro or similar tablet. I’m sure there are reasons for owning an actual tech II device over just software, but I wanted to try something different out of curiosity and explore other options for those that want an even cheaper alternative.
This post show a guide on how to use OBDSTAR X300 Plus to program remote for Chevrolet Trailblazer Duramax 2013
Purpose: generate remote -> read pincode > program remote Car model: Chevrolet Trailblazer Duramax 2013
Tools need: VVDI Key tool : used to generate remote firstly OBDSTAR DP plus: used to program remote, read pincode
Reason to use them: Via OBD. no dismantling and desoldering the immobilizer box.
PS: OBDSTAR DP plus = OBDSTAR key master DP plus, their difference is the outlook.
Part 1: use VVDI Key Tool to generate remote
Generate remote -> Remote program -> Remote key
America ->Chevrolet -> Trailblazer
Use XN remote (chip ID 46 7937E)
Put battery and press [Gen].
Burn succeed.
Setup remote module into remote shell.
Part 2: Use OBDSTAR key master DP plus to program Chevrolet Trailblazer Duramax 2013 key
PS: it is very easy to do by following the on-screen message.
Read Pin code Turn on ignition with programmed key.
Read pincode.
There is Pincode in Service Booklet: 9465
If no service booklet, then you can find by OBDII. Tap “Enter” – GM 31.15 -> Read security Code.
By OBDII -> BCM system -> Auto
Please ensure the internet connection is fine.
Read Pincode — Logging…
Pincode: 9465
Program Chip Back to tap: GM 31.15 -> Immobilizer-> Select from type -> Type3
Check key data: 2 keys.
Clear DTC.
All keys lost -> fill pin code:9465
Switch off for 5 seconds, then switch on.
System configuration, please wait for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes.
Switch off and pull the key out.
Open and close driver door. Switch on.
Whether to program next key? [Yes].
Switch off and pull the key out. Insert new key and switch on. Switch off and pull the key out. Open then close driver door. Switch on. Whether to program next key? [NO] only 2 keys.
Switch off and pull the key out. Open then close driver door. Switch on Switch off Switch on Program successfully.
Security light go off. Start engine ok.
Test remote ok.
Done.

Device: Xtool X100 Pad2 key programmer S/N: X100PAD2-***** Problem: Customer: While trying to update X100 pad2, I typed in the activation code, but I got GetUpdateListEx: Error code = 5, and the screen showed the configuration was wrong and asked me to re-activate it or contact XTOOL. The homepage was blank. It tried updating but failed to connect to the server. Could you please check what’s the problem?
Answer from OBD2TOOL: X100 pad2 software supports free updates only for two years. After that, the update fee is 395USD/year. The trouble encountered is caused by an expired free upgrade period. You can pay one year update here:
X100 pad2 can perform key programming, mileage adjustment, oil service light reset, EPB/DPF reset, and OBD2 engine diagnosis etc. Its full version supports VW 4th & 5th generation IMMO programming. Check the link below for more details:
Complaint: Mileage correction function failed to work Customer: During the process of upgrading my OBDSTAR X300 DP PLUS PAD2, the “Mileage Adjustment” on the left screen failed to work. I touched the option, not any vehicle name displayed on the right screen. Could you help me with this?

There’re two solutions to recover this function.
Emergency treatment for mileage adjustment option or IMMO menu missing: 1). Enter Home button, choose [ES File Explorer], and select ES file manager in the menu.
2). Click on Home, then choose DP.
3). Select the file folder named by the device SN (9514XXXXXXXX) → FUNCTION → MILEAGE, then you’ll see a file called “en.cfg” and delete it.
4). Restart the device.
5). Enter [upgrade] menu, choose a mileage correction software and download it for one-click upgrade.
If the solution above doesn’t work, it’s probably the free update period for the obdstar x300 dp tablet is due, as it only supports one year free update online.
2020 Orange 5 Plus V1.35 is verified working fine with added Authorization of airbag, car radio, immo pin, car mileage, motorbike mileage and mileage for MTRK etc…
