This tech post show a guide on how to use CGDI MB to collect EIS data quickly for Benz W164 all key lost programming.
Preparations: CGDI Benz Prog CGDI Benz AC Adapter
Procedures: Run CGDI MB Prog software and select “Wiring Diagram”,then check the wire harness diagram
Follow the wire diagram to build wire harness connection
Select “EIS” option at left menu bar,then click “Read EIS data”
After reading EIS data,click “Compute Password” at left menu bar
Chose “Copy key without key”,and click “Collect Data”.
Then select “Platform mode(Quick collect)” and click “OK” to start data collection
Please insert the simulation key within 1 minutes,if you have inserted,please pull out and try again. (Please turn the quick collect adapter switch to the Platform position.Turn the key to ignition ON position)
It will take you about 6 minutes to collect data,please wait…
Note:By traditional method,you need spend hours
After data collection completing,save the data on your laptop
Then click “Upload Data” button to upload the data you save just now for password caculation

Question 1: Can FVDI 2020 delete the ISM of Mercedes?
And can it read vgs3 and write it into the automatic transmission

A: Yes, FVDI 2018 can do.
Question 2: I want to know if FVDI 2018 can support:
– Renewal of FBS4 7G Tronic units 722.9 (VGSNAG2). ALL BY OBD or internal CANBUS. – Renewal of FBS4 CRD 3.X Engine Control Units. ALL BY OBD or internal CANBUS.
A: The first one is yes, the second one is No.
Question 3. QuickLoader.exe -Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).Click OK to close the application.
Solution: Run the “Patch” file, right click on the software icon on the desk, open the file position and you will find it.
Question 4: Where to download fvdi 2018 newest version? FDVI 2018 V3.0
Answer: Finally, So i removed the tag and tagkeytool from c folder.
And it is fine now.

Can please someone help me. I have an 2018 FVDI and my problems is this. The UBS connector from the PCB , has got 1 pin broken , and wanted to replace it from pcb.
But when i desolder the old one , one pad from the pin nr. 2 of the usb broken … the White wire ( Data – ) .
Now even i soldera new connector or solder directly the wires on the pcb , windows don’t recognize the unit. It see it like a malfunction … because the white wire don’t communicate.
Can you tell me the corresponding pcb location of this pin n2 of the usb connector ?

Hi, my 2015 FVDI I cannot use VW v24, it only works with V18.0 When the VW V24.0 was selected it sends the message “Hours left 0” My FW version is 2.18 and 2.10.
My 2015 FVDI DVD is damaged.
The provider does not send me the link to download the software Do I have to update the firmware for VW version 24 to work?
Answer: Register email and password – Then download. It works if you have “genuine” Fly product.

The advantages are simply that you don’t have to spend hours installing on old past their prime laptops with dodgy batteries liable to die while your flashing something on your car. Also i have included Mongoose toolkit in the VM that will auto flash the correct firmware into your cable for the version of SDD your using.
These can be ran on any system that can also run Oracle’s Virtualbox. That includes Windows, OSX and Linux machines. You don’t need a particular beefy laptop either.
How to install
a. Install your version of Virtual-box. Virtual-box for Windows PC or OSX for Apple Mac b. Go to file and Import Appliance and select one of the two images you downloaded c. Sit back, maybe put the kettle on. d. You can now if you want, right click on the image and create a clone. So you have a backup. e. Double click the file that now appears called WinXPJLR 130 or WinXPJLR 138 (which ever one you used). It should now load up windows XP in a window2. How to use JLR DoiP VCI in a VMwarea. You should now have a window running XP. If you are using Version 130. A black window will appear. That is the auto script to set the date and time to 01/08/2012 each time you start it. It needs that date for the password and account to work. Just click in the black box and press a key. b. Any windows boxes that pop up to search for hardware. Just cancel. Its looking for the drivers of hardware you don’t have. Ignore. c. Plug your mongoose into the car and the other end into the laptop. Turn the ignition of your car to position 2. Go to devices on the top of the image, USB and select the mongoose. Should be Drews! d. Now one of two things will happen. It will automatically detect the mongoose and update the firmware on the device or not. If not then double click on the icon for Mongoose JLR Configuration. You should see your mongoose in the white panel in the configuration menu. Select it and flash firmware. (It will send the right firmware to be compatible with the version of SDD you are using. If you use a different version of SDD. It will flash whatever one you need) e. Now if you want to you can change the resolution of the virtual XP just like normal windows. I have set it at a low 800�600 so it is compatible on everyone’s screen resolution. So right click on the window and adjust to your own laptops specifications. If you press RIGHT CONTROL BUTTON and C for scaled mode or RIGHT CONTROL BUTTON and F for full screen mode. d. Now double click on JLR SDD. It should now load up Internet explorer (yes it is browser based!!). If it fails to load, close the browser and stop the application. Double click again Jaguar SDD, and it will load. f. If you are confronted with the password screen only with Version 130. Which sometimes happens? It is below (Also there is a password.txt on the VM images desktop with it) USER ID – JLR9A8172 Password – L538X760 Then press identify g. You should be now confronted with the vehicle identification number (VIN) screen. If read is greyed out. Then your mongoose is not talking to the car. Is it plugged into the car and laptop? Is the car ignition in position 2? Did the mongoose configuration tool flash the firmware? Did you activate USB in the image? If you followed all my steps to the vehicle identification number (VIN) screen. The read option should be coloured. Select it and it will retrieve your VIN, and then you’re on your own adventurer!Good to know: it’s risky!!!

Procedures:
Enter the menu to select “immo”,then select Benz brand Click “S Class”, choose Automatic mode, you will see there are 3 steps to program the key for Benz W220.
First step, program EIS, choose 05X32/1D69J to enter the following page.
De-solder the two CPU according to the diagram, and solder them to the adapters.(to avoid mix up please mark the two CPU before taking them off)
After read the data it will show the SSID information etc. Choose the key number you want and then click “Write data” to finish the EIS adjust.
Step 2ME. Take 95040 for example, check the picture and remove the chip to the adapter, click “Next”.
After read the data, it will show the ECU information, click “Write data” to finish the ECU Programming.

Procedure: 1.Connect CGDI MB Key Programmer to the computer and the AC adapter shown as the above image. Click on “Wiring Diagram” of W210 all keys lost wiring to follow.
2.Click on “Read EIS data”, if it failed, try one more time until it succeed.
3.Click on “Computer password”, then choose “Copy key without key”, then “Collect Data”, then “on Bench (second option)“, then “OK”.
4.Please unplug the direction lock (ELV) and connect the clip on the yellow line of the OBD line to the K-lin on the directional lock plug. (The most fine line in the directional lock connector is the K-line).
5.Collecting, please follow the prompts. 6.Please insert the simulation key within 1 minutes, if you have inserted, please pull out and try again.
7.Collecting data, please wait… it will take about 7 minutes to collect the data.
8.Save the EIS data: Save the file successfully. Please upload the data to calculate Password. 9.Click on “Upload Data”. Upload data successfully, please click the [Query Results] button to query. 10.Query until you get “Computing success” message! Done. Thumb up to CGMB AC adapter, it makes EIS data collection job easier and automatically.

The power light on the CANdi module doesn’t come on when connected to the Tech 2? If that’s what you mean mine does not light up either. I think they should flash when linked to the car’s computer as that means the CANdi module is communicating. Bosch instructions:

The Controller Area Network Diagnostic Interface (CANdi) is an in-cable module that works with the existing Tech 2 components including the VCI, cables, and adapters.
Installed, the CANdi module is fully backward compatible with current tester functionality. The module powers up in a way that makes it transparent to the user. That is, unless the Professional Diagnostic Tool Tech 2 enables features specific to the CANdi module, all signal lines function as they do without the CANdi module. This allows the existing Tech 2 software to be used with no changes, whether or not the CANdi module is installed.
The primary function of the CANdi module is to add CAN capability to the Tech 2 tester. The following list summarizes the basic characteristics of the CANdi module:
The Tech 2 commands the CANdi module operation.
When installed, the CANdi module does not interfere with any diagnostic procedure currently performed using the Tech 2. The usage of a CANdi module does not require any physical changes to the Tech 2, its cables, or adapters. The module operates in transparent mode until awakened by the Tech 2. Upon initialization, the CANdi module operates under master control of the Tech 2. All functionality is determined by the Tech 2 application software which is loaded on the Tech 2’s program card. The CANdi module always operates in slave mode to the Tech 2, responding in high speed SAE J1708 to the tester.
Physical Interface and LED CANdi connects to the Tech 2 by way of the existing Data Link Connector (DLC) Burndy Connector. The vehicle side connection remains unchanged using the existing adapter to interface between the Burndy connector and the SAE J1962 connector. When functioning properly, CANdi’s LED flashes. In the event of a problem, the LED will be constantly illuminated.

Good to know: The Candi Module should not plugged into your Tech2 from Obd2tool.com unless your working on a later car ..generally 2005 plus. Olders car from 96 should NOT have the Candi Module attached.
