A few years back, I allowed a friend to set-me-up with a blind date. I was supposed to go to her house and get her for our date. I was very nervous, of course.

I asked Freddy, "What do I do if she talks funny, stands oddly, she's plain looking, or ugly?"

"Just grab your chest," he answered, "fall to the ground, and fake a heart-attack! I'll bet you, that she closes the door. And when she does, that will be it!"

It sounded good, so I called her and we seemed to have a lot in common. I asked her what time she would be ready, and find out where she lived. When the time came, I drove to her house, the grass looked to be well manicured.

I rang the door-bell and when she opened the door, she was stunningly beautiful!

Before I could speak, she grabbed her chest, fell backward to the floor... and the door closed in my face!

My cousin, a flight attendant for a major airline, watched one day as a passenger overloaded with bags tried to stuff his belongings in the overhead bin of the plane. Finally, she informed him that he would have to check the oversized luggage into the baggage compartment.

"When I fly other airlines," he said irritably, "I don’t have this silly problem."

She smiled, "When you fly other airlines, I don’t have this big of a problem, either."

You may have heard on the news about a Southern California man who was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns, and allegedly had 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also featured a secret escape tunnel.

By Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds is considered "mentally unstable."

In Michigan, he'd be called "The last white guy still living in Detroit."

In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector."

In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector."

In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food."

In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would want to have for a friend."

In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."

In Alabama, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."

In Georgia, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor."

In North Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina he would be called "a deer hunting buddy."

And in Texas he'd just be, "Bubba, who's a little short on ammo." :D
