Greetings to everybody! :)

Although I've been logging in to DN everyday, I haven't been very active. Case in point... I haven't uploaded any wallpapers this month... until today, and it's the very last day of the month!

I have to admit that part of it is I've been watching all of the Coronavirus/Covid 19 TV news. (That's about all the news there is, these days!) I've watched in horrified fascination as the numbers of sick people go higher and higher. At least the TV news does one good thing, it leads me to pray, again & again & again for nurses, doctors, and other medical personnel. Also for all of the people who have fallen ill from this hateful virus...

In Michigan we are under "Stay at Home" orders. I think every state in the USA should be doing that-- I feel sorry for people in places that do not have these orders. One of my sisters who lives in another state told me she wishes so much that their governor would give Stay at Home orders too, so everyone will be safer.

At this point, I want to apologize to everyone who belongs to my Cows, Sheep, and Balloon Groups. Normally, I favorite and comment on all of the wallpapers in those 3 groups. I just haven't had it in me to do that lately. :( I may not be getting back to that very much until the pandemic is more under control and less worrisome.

If you have uploaded wallpapers to any of those 3 groups that you would really like me to see and comment on, post them directly on my profile, and I'll try to do better. For that matter, if any of you have ANY walls you think I would appreciate, post those on my profile page too. Frankly, I could use some beautiful walls right now, to keep my mind off of the latest Covid-19 woes.

The 3 wallpapers that I've just uploaded are below. The first wall especially, was inspired by the Covid-19 situation. I hope it will make you smile. We can all use something to laugh at these days...

Whatever you do, take care of yourselves and your loved ones! I hope we DNers can all get through this pandemic safely!

Hi Everyone,

This is quite a train of wallpapers I have here... pun intended. I don't often put up this many in one day. I uploaded them to celebrate my new group; "Traffic Signals nSigns." I've been wanting to start it since February, but I decided to wait until DN was back up & running again.

My first wallpaper is rather unusual, I know. Unfortunately, I made it out of necessity. If you do nothing else--- read the words in italics at the bottom of this purple wallpaper's description! What I have to say there will be of great interest to you, especially if you are planning to start any new DN groups.



There is one more wallpaper that I made out of necessity also. This one shows the Traffic Signals nSigns Group Avatar.

It's also a time to celebrate Jesus Christ & what He did for us all. He went to the cross for us... and then to the grave.


But He didn't stay there!


Springtime. New life. A Holiday filled with eggs, bunnies, and excited children on candy hunts. The amazing love that God has for all of us. There is so much to smile about at Easter!

I went through some very rough times this past year... I know that many of you did too. So let's ring out the old year (at least the parts that were not good) and ring in the new year together! :)

Do you know what's really great about the coming new year? It's this... If bad times Are on their way, at least we don't know about 'em yet. And for once I am happy to be ignorant! How about you? :P :D :D :D

PS. Holidays can be a challenge for anyone who's missing loved ones. I still miss my Dad who I lost in 2014. I miss someone who's cut off all ties with our family. I miss Betsey Butler, Kate Hatheway, and Puppydawg. I miss many people, who are no longer active on DN. And I know I'm not the only one.

But I am so thankful for those of us who are still around! Thank you for the joy and comfort that you give me, just by being here. We are all in this together --and you are the best!:D

I hope you are happy and well. I'm sure you're already enjoying this season & are looking forward to Christmas day itself. If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, you've likely already seen your first snow. I rediscovered something today; it's no fun to drive in, but sure is beautiful to look at! :D

It was a little hard for me to say goodbye to Autumn. Not only did we get less leaf colors than usual, we didn't get any snow in my area until 4 days ago! Usually I see snow by mid November, or at least by Thanksgiving.

We got about 2 inches of snow today; the most we've had in one day so far. Now that my yard is white, it finally looks like Winter outside. :)

My first 3 wallpaper designs are made entirely of Autumn leaves. My last one is made from one Autumn leaf, some orange & white berries, a shrub, and some snow that I added in. It's my first Christmas wallpaper of the year. (Most of you seem to be way ahead of me as far as that goes.) My Christmas Tree wall was the most fun to make, and it's definitely the snowiest one of the four. :)

Joyful greetings to a beautiful & meaningful season! Desktop Nexus is one of the best places to enjoy this season in my happy opinion.:D

Greetings to my friends & fans! :)

I am feeling rather bleary this morning. Normally, I would have been by hours ago. Just after uploading the wallpapers below, however, we lost our internet. And our phones. And our TV. :( We were up until 1:30am dealing with this problem: finally ended up going to bed, after our internet provider promised to have a repairman out to our house out to our house anywhere from 4 to 8 pm. After all of that got resolved, we staggered off to bed. Then I discovered that I couldn't sleep. Finally dropped off about 3:30am.... :P

In the morning we woke up (after oversleeping) to find that everything was up & running again. My husband cancelled the appointment and hurried off to work.

As for me, I am going back to bed as soon as I'm finished going a-visiting up here. Luckily, I don't work on Fridays, but my appointment with my gym may go by the wayside today, in favor of sleep. I'm nodding off, even as I write this.

Happy Autumn... for us in Michigan, it was a long time getting here! :D

Hi Everybody,

I had really hoped to get around visiting earlier than this... in my part of the world, Halloween Day starts in about an hour. But things kept getting in the way; everything from family problems to website problems... (not DN, I'm glad to say.) Oh well... better late-ish than never-ish! :)

I managed to get 2 Halloween wallpapers made in spite of it all. In one of them, a jack o lantern gets a scare. Since jack o lanterns used to scare me when I was little, I thought it would be fun to turn the tables on one of them for a change. :)

I made my other wallpaper to wish all of you a Happy Halloween. Whether you are going to a party, taking children trick or treating --- or simply wondering why people from the USA and Canada are so crazy about this holiday --- I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow! :D

PS. One of my Aussie friends on DN told me that Australia is gradually starting to observe this holiday also. I bet the children down under who trick or treat really enjoy it (and the candy!) :)

PPS. The same Aussie friend who mentioned this to me will likely enjoy the 2nd wallpaper, as she's very fond of cats. She knows who she is... lol :)

Hi Everyone,

It's been a busy, but happy Summer for me-- which is the reason that I may not have been around to visit you for awhile. Well... mostly happy. Car problems that were not cheap kept me from seeing my 5 month old granddaughter for a couple of weeks, but at least the car is finally working again. :)

My job has been keeping me busy also. We are engraving a lot of Stainless Steel mugs right now. We have one type where each shrink wrapped mug must be unwrapped by hand before it is engraved. It's time consuming, and my hands are getting a little sore... but hey... it's a living! I can listen to any kind of music that I want to while I unwrap them too.:D

I try to upload at least 5 wallpapers a month. I uploaded one wall on July 4th. I tried to get more up here during the month, but things kept coming up. Finally, today, July 31st, I rushed these 5 wallpapers up here. I got them uploaded with less than 3 hours to spare; August 1st starts on Desktop Nexus at 8pm my time. (Michigan, USA) It feels great to have beaten the clock! :D I hope to get many more walls uploaded during the month of August, because I have a backlog now...stay tuned! lol

As you can see, I've got 3 Cows Group walls up in this bunch; and 2 of them are especially silly...:P :D If you aren't a member of the Cows Group yet, you should check it out. There is such an incredible variety of cow wallpapers in it scenic, unusual, cute, humorous, etc... I think this group has become one of the most interesting (and fun!) ones on Desktop Nexus! :D

I hope that you are having a great Summer also, or a great Winter, depending on where you live!

PS. PUPPYDAWG/ROGER news is that there isn't that much right now. He is doing better, but has an annoying, chronic cough. I do think he could use your prayers. He wants to come back to Desktop Nexus, but he needs a new computer to do so. He has enough money, but he isn't very mobile. Hopefully, one of his relatives will be able to help him out with that soon. Believe me, he misses everybody!

Could you use a rainbow in your life about now? I was more than ready for a rainbow when this one appeared in the Michigan sky on May 29th. Luckily, I had my camera with me. I've uploaded 3 photos of it. I hope you are as inspired by them as I am.

PS. I'm happy to say that my health problems are improving, and my computer has been behaving! :D It's still pretty busy at work, but on the whole my life is improving. Thank you to all who've been rooting and/or praying for me. :)

PPS. Puppydawg/Roger is hanging in there. Since he has been staying with his sister since Easter, he has decided to remain there. One of his cousins is going to give him his laptop computer as soon as he (the cousin) can replace it with a new one. Then Roger will be able to be back on DN. Who knows? Maybe he will have better luck with a 2nd hand one! :D
