Alex Jones and the Right to Offend

On Dec. 14, 2012, a mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut resulted in the deaths of 20 children and six staffers. Alex Jones, a controversial far-right talk show host, called the Sandy Hook massacre a U.S. government hoax, staged using crisis actors, to serve as a pretext for gun control. Parents of one of the slain children filed a defamation suit against Jones, claiming that followers of Jones had harassed them and sent them death threats for years in the false belief that they were lying about their son’s death.
Jones’s defense was his right to free speech and that he was not responsible for the harassment. He lost. The jury awarded the parents $45.2 million in punitive damages on top of $4.1 million in compensatory damages — another example of outrageous damage verdicts that plague the legal system.
The opinion of this writer is that the verdict was wrong and that Jones’s statements do not satisfy the legal requirements for defamation, which must involve damage to the reputation of the plaintiff. How did Jones’s statement damage the parents’ reputations? Jones said that the government, not the parents, was responsible for what he deemed to be a hoax. If third parties threatened the parents, that is not Jones’s doing. The parents should sue the people who threatened them.
Jones’s contention that the massacre never took place was false, but it also was an opinion that is protected free speech. If the parents were offended by what Jones said, that does not constitute damage either to their person or their reputation. Jones himself explained it: “if questioning public events and free speech is banned because it might hurt somebody’s feelings, we are not in America anymore. They can change the channel. They can come out and say I’m wrong. They have free speech.”
The verdict in the Jones case is another in a long line of assaults on the First Amendment. Freedom of speech is coming under attack based on the existence of a new “right”: the right not to be offended. It is claimed by many on the left that the right not to be offended is more important than the right to free expression.
Our colleges and universities have fallen victim to this new “right.” The feelings of students often constitute sufficient justification for campus censorship. If a conservative speaker offends some of the students, that speaker can be denied a platform. “The belief that free speech rights don’t include the right to speak offensively is now firmly entrenched on campuses and enforced by repressive speech or harassment codes,” wrote attorney Wendy Kaminer in The Atlantic.
The problem is spreading to the mainstream. In the 2010 case of Nurre v. Whitehead, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld lower court rulings that school authorities can deny students’ rights to free speech just to keep other students from being offended. The courts are “allowing schools the discretion to let an offended minority control a cowed majority,” constitutional attorney John W. Whitehead wrote in the Huffington Post. “There is no way to completely avoid giving offense,” he said. “At some time or other, someone is going to take offense at something someone else says or does. It’s inevitable.”
In a democratic republic, there can be no right not to be offended.

But we have NASA and tons of scientists, astronauts and other cartel from our past telling us that Earth is a globe. The whole astrophysics is based on that theory and they have ISS images of Earth to prove it. Except, ISS is stationed at LEO (low earth\'s orbit, about 400K up). At that altitude, it is pretty hard to see anything at all, because of the clouds and because you\'re not high enough to see it in all it\'s entirety. You\'d think that the sun would illuminate the whole region brilliantly and even stronger than what we can experience at our daytime, but you would be wrong thinking that. At 400 miles up, sun seems to shrink in size and resembles an ordinary star.  So, where is the sun?
Why the Earth is actually 100% flat
Rapper B.o.B. has been criticised for publicly insisting the Earth is flat. You may think his claims are ludicrous, but the truth is: they don’t go far enough.
Rapper B.o.B. has caused a furore by tweeting that the Earth is in fact flat, and you only need to look at the evidence to come to the same conclusion. Obviously, prominent scientists have openly mocked this claim, showing the many ways in which it is ludicrous, no matter how many people insist otherwise. They’re right though; sadly. B.o.B. is wrong. His nonsense claims, such as the idea that Earth’s curvature should be visible at certain distances but isn’t, are just that: nonsense. His comments and insistent statements are little more than childish naivety. In truth, the conspiracy goes much, much deeper than that.
For example, the Earth really is flat. As in totally flat, like a sheet of glass. The definition of flat is “having a level surface; without raised areas or indentations”. So how can you have tall buildings and mountains if the Earth is flat? You can’t. Q.E.D. It would be like saying a hedgehog is flat, which, barring an unfortunate encounter with a heavy goods vehicle, it clearly isn’t.
Some might take issue with this, based on the flimsy evidence that they can see buildings, hills, trees, mountains and things like that everywhere, and may even be in or on them right now. This is just another example of how blinkered people are. If you look closely, the clues are everywhere.
There’s no such thing as a mountain, they’re just optical illusions caused by light refracting off all the mind-altering chemicals in the air.
For instance, what’s the tallest supposed mountain on Earth? Everest. Except it isn’t. The name is a giveaway; it’s clearly a morphing of “never rest”, because if you wanted to go to the biggest mountain you’d literally never rest, because it isn’t actually there. What about all those people who have climbed it, you say? Well, consider all the people who have died supposedly doing so. How do you die climbing something that isn’t there? You can’t. They were obviously killed to protect the conspiracy, whereas those who “survived” were willing to play ball.
And if that isn’t clear enough, pretty much everyone who attempts to climb Everest takes oxygen with them. Why would you do that when there’s oxygen all around us, in the air? Wherever they’re going, it isn’t on Earth. You know where you do need oxygen, though? THE MOON! That’s where they’re going. So-called mountaineers are being sent to the moon in order to fake climbing Everest. This is why Nasa had to fake the moon landing with astronauts, because it was already full of mountaineers and they couldn’t risk exposing that conspiracy. See how it all adds up?
Some might still object, because they’re currently sitting in a tall building. They’re not though, they only “think” they are. In truth, everyone is breathing in a potent mix of hallucinogens that are constantly in the air around us, and these cause us to perceive buildings and tall things where there are none. How did these hallucinogens get in the air? Well, that’s what chemtrails are actually for. |

Don’t worry, these hallucinogenic compounds aren’t provided by evil “Big Pharma”; they’re actually secreted by the shape-shifting lizards that rule society. Why do you think lizards are in charge in the first place? They provide the secretions that keep the population in line, believing in things like the Earth is round and buildings exist. The few times people have actually tried to make a tall building like the World Trade Centre, it is destroyed by the government.
Some refer to “false flags” at times like this. In truth, all flags are false; they’re non-existent tall structures, so are just figments of our collective imagination.
This leads us on to other considerations though, like how thick is the Earth? It may be totally flat, but nobody said it’s two-dimensional. It must have a thickness, because we can go underground or underwater. Unlike mountains, the oceans are clearly real, because otherwise where did Atlantis go?

The deepest part of the ocean we know about is the Mariana trench, a full 7 miles down. This means the Earth is at least 7 miles thick, and probably a lot more so, because that’s a lot of water on top of it and it would need to be solid enough to keep it all in, lest all of the seas leak out of the bottom of the world. This clearly isn’t happening, even if you do ignore the nonsense that is rising sea levels due to global warming. How can you have global warming without a globe to warm? Hoisted by your own petard there, scientists!
Maybe the world is as thick as it is wide, and is actually a cube? Scientists scoff at this notion, arguing that gravity would mean the atmosphere would be much thicker at the centre of the each surface and nearly barren at the poles. But have you noticed how the atmosphere is much more humid at the so-called “equator” yet the poles are practically lifeless? Coincidence? OBVIOUSLY NOT!
When you follow this train of logic, it becomes clear that the only feasible conclusion is that Earth is indeed flat. Flatter than anyone has ever expected.
Either that, or the human brain has a habit of looking for patterns in innocuous or coincidental occurrences, ascribing great significance to any connection it can find and trying to make sense of them despite the absence of any concrete evidence. But seriously, that’s a bit of a far-fetched claim isn’t it?

| In 1980, the first modern hypertension drug, sold as Captopril, came on the market. It was made from snake venom, from the same family of South American pit vipers now being re-examined during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The head of the Monash Venom Research Group, Professor Wayne Hodgson, says venom is still an untapped resource. “We still have a poor understanding of the effects of many venoms, including snake venoms, fish venoms, and spider venoms,” he says. “Australia and the Asian region are home to some of the world\'s most venomous animals, so it’s a great opportunity to study these venoms. Not only can we learn about the likely clinical effects of these venoms and identify potential treatment strategies, there are a number of therapeutic agents that have been developed based on venom components.”
Another of his lab members, Ms Rahini Ragavan Kakumanu, a PhD candidate and teaching associate, has two recent papers published, exploring snake venom and its links to both cardiovascular collapse and extreme blood pressure changes in the person “envenomed”.
Ms Kakumanu also studies venom from the vampire bat, a strange nocturnal mammal that feeds only on blood, mainly from livestock. It’s often the creepiest creatures that have the most to offer science.
Who you calling creepy? The vampire bat\'s venom is also being studied.
Professor Hodgson says the link between venoms and cardiovascular collapse was a murky area. “It was unclear whether these snake venoms were capable of causing collapse, or whether they produced different effects on the cardiovascular system which were shorter in duration – that is, transient – and less likely to cause fatalities.
“Previous research has focused heavily on the neurotoxic effects of snake venoms, or the effects of snake venoms on blood coagulation,” he says. “However, there are a number of snakes which cause significant effects on the cardiovascular system, including rapid cardiovascular collapse, which can be fatal.”

Ms Kakumanu looked at seven deadly snakes – the Australian eastern brown, the Sri Lankan Russell’s viper, the Javanese Russell’s viper, the Gaboon viper (Africa), the Uracoan rattlesnake (Venezuela), the carpet viper (Asia and the Middle East), and the puff adder (Morocco and Africa).
“I wanted to see if there is any link between the different types of venoms and cardiovascular effects, or if there’s a particular toxin they all have in common which causes either hypotension [low blood pressure] or hypertension [high blood pressure],” she says.
“I have also investigated the mechanism of cardiovascular collapse, which is a very common symptom from the brown snake envenomation in Australia. We weren’t quite sure what was causing collapse. Now we have shown there are two distinct mechanisms – one that causes low blood pressure that you can revive from, and sudden cardiovascular collapse that usually leads to death.”

The paper distinguishes between the two effects on the human body for the first time.
The Russell’s viper species interest her greatly. They’re named after the pioneering Scottish herpetologist Patrick Russell, who, in the late 1700s, travelled through India looking for dangerous snakes, and documenting them.
“The Russell’s viper is found throughout Asia; however, interestingly, the venom is slightly different in each region,” she says. “We thought the snake caused cardiovascular collapse, but through my research we now know it causes hypotension that you can recover from. The Australian brown snake and the carpet viper from Nigeria, despite being two different species of snake, cause cardiovascular collapse, but through a very similar mechanism.”
That “mechanism”, though, is unclear. “We think once you are bitten, the venom is causing your body to release factors in the body that causes blood pressure to drop. It can do this suddenly, or slowly. Russell’s viper venom contains toxins that cause blood pressure to decrease via potassium channels found in our blood vessels, while the Australian brown snake and the carpet viper do not.”
Snakes. They can kill you, quickly and painfully. Or they can cure, maybe better than we already knew.

Venom may play a role in the fight against COVID-19
Things can change quickly in medical science, especially during a pandemic.
Rewind to 2018, and Monash University pharmacologist Dr Sanjaya Kuruppu wins a prestigious grant from the United States to research a peptide from a deadly snake that may prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
The team he co-leads gets to work - with new funding from the US government’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) - on investigating a molecule from the Bothrops asper, a pit viper from South and Central America.
It is an aggressive snake that accounts for the most snake-bite deaths in the region. But its venom looks like it can counter the toxic protein amyloid beta, which is a cause of Alzheimer’s disease; a molecule in the venom perks up two enzymes that clear amyloid beta.
On the team are Dr Kurrupu’s mentor, Professor Ian Smith, Monash University’s Vice-Provost (Research and Research Infrastructure); Professor Helena Parkington from Monash’s Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI); and Dr Niwanthi Rajapakse, a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland. Dr Kuruppu works for the Monash Venom Research Laboratory (within BDI) from the University of Queensland.
Researchers found the peptide they were already looking at for Alzheimer’s disease may help in the fight, or future fights, against COVID-19.
In the two years or so since, they tweak their synthesized peptide to try and make it work better on the Alzheimer’s protein in the brain. They begin finding ways to make it cross the blood-brain barrier, making it potentially more effective. Because peptides break down easily in the bloodstream, they work on improving its stability.
A turning point in the lab as COVID-19 appears
Then, on New Year’s Eve last year, everything in medical science changed. Health authorities report a cluster of apparent pneumonia cases in Wuhan, China.
It was, in fact, a new strain of an acute respiratory coronavirus – COVID-19. Two weeks later the first case was found outside China, in Thailand. Now, in May, more than 200,000 are dead, making it the worst pandemic since the Great Plague of the 1600s.

In the team’s lab, too, everything changed. The researchers found the peptide they were already looking at for Alzheimer’s disease may help in the fight, or future fights, against COVID-19.
“It binds to an enzyme which plays an important role in the cardiovascular system,” Dr Kuruppu says. The enzyme in question is called angiotensin-converting enzyme 2.
“Activating this enzyme also causes improvements in vascular function-it makes the blood vessels relax. This enzyme is also the receptor for COVID-19. Very early studies show it can stop the binding of proteins [the “spikes” in co mmonly seen images of the virus] to the cells. We found this very recently, and this is very preliminary, but it shows a lot of promise.”
Snake venom - the great untapped resource
Snake venom has long been of peculiar interest to pharmacologists. They love the stuff, because, despite differing components between species, it’s full of weird and wonderful peptides, enzymes, neurotoxins and proteins, making it a complex and interesting “soup” that can kill, and also cure. Lizard and cone snail venoms are also useful.

Even though it may seem, it is actually not hot in the Thermosphere. Pay close attention to these details:
Temperature is different from heat
Temperature is the measure of the average energy of particles in motion. Thus, the thermosphere has particles moving very fast.
Heat is the transfer of thermal energy between objects of different temperatures. Therefore, particles must touch one and another to transfer heat.

In large part, the earth\'s ozone distribution is controlled by the properties of the solar-earth system. First, the earth\'s gravity forces the air to stay around the surface of the earth and form the atmosphere. Second, the sun\'s energy, directly or indirectly, hits and heats the atmosphere and ground, then radiates away to outer space. Consequently, the atmosphere is stratified into several layers according to the variation in temperature. Meanwhile, UV energy from sunlight enables large-scale atmospheric chemical reactions, including the production and decomposition of ozone molecules. Due to the shape and rotation of the earth and the energy from the sun, there is variability in air pressure. Consequently, diverse air streams transport the products of the atmospheric chemical reactions globally from one place to another. Since the majority of atmospheric ozone is the result of photochemical reactions driven by the energy of the sun, the ozone distribution is dynamically and chemically determined by these processes. "
"The lower portion of the stratosphere is also influenced by the polar jet stream and subtropical jet stream. In the first 9 kilometers of the stratosphere, temperature remains constant with height. A zone with constant temperature in the atmosphere is called an isothermal layer. From an altitude of 20 to 50 kilometers, temperature increases with an increase in altitude. The higher temperatures found in this region of the stratosphere occurs because of a localized concentration of ozone gas molecules. These molecules absorb ultraviolet sunlight creating heat energy that warms the stratosphere. My Q. How can such minuscule amount of energy that doesn\'t interact with H2O or ozone cause any climatic change on earth. Think what size that blanket would have to be to have any effect on weather bellow. Another important factor is low atmospheric pressure which is preventing it from clustering into a uniform sheet of energy. Clearly, CO2 is not changing the climate. This hype on humans creating global warming is nothing more than a cobweb fluff of a lazily \'put together\' science, and a political bandwagon to coverup an extravagant budget spending of our politicians. But, yes lets clean up the pollution. We need clean air. I\'ll write more about it in my next journal.

| Where have we gone wrong in our understanding of \'climate change\'? Think, are ordinary humans really to blame for extra CO2 emissions. Is CO2 really the problem or, is it possible that science of weather today is somewhat confused about it all? In this article, I will attempt to debunk this myth.
Yochan Krushnir who "is a research professor at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, in the Division of Oceans and Climate Physics" says this on the subject in You Asked: " If CO2 Is Only 0.04% of the Atmosphere, How Does it Drive Global Warming? And why isn’t water vapor the major driving factor?"
Krushnir: "Earth absorbs energy from sunlight, but as the surface warms, it also emits energy in the form of infrared radiation (which we know of as heat) out into space. Water vapor and CO2, however, act like a cap, making it more difficult for Earth to get rid of this energy. Without gases like these to absorb the energy, our planet’s average surface temperature would have been near zero degrees Fahrenheit." He adds: "About 99 percent of the atmosphere is made of oxygen and nitrogen, which cannot absorb the infrared radiation the Earth emits. Of the remaining 1 percent, the main molecules that can absorb infrared radiation are CO2 and water vapor, because their atoms are able to vibrate in just the right way to absorb the energy that the Earth gives off. After these gases absorb the energy, they emit half of it back to Earth and half of it into space, trapping some of the heat within the atmosphere. This trapping of heat is what we call the greenhouse effect. Because of the greenhouse effect created by these trace gases, the average temperature of the Earth is around 15˚C, or 59˚F, which allows for life to exist.
CO2 makes up only about 0.04% of the atmosphere, and water vapor can vary from 0 to 4%. But while water vapor is the dominant greenhouse gas in our atmosphere, it has “windows” that allow some of the infrared energy to escape without being absorbed. In addition, water vapor is concentrated lower in the atmosphere, whereas CO2 mixes well all the way to about 50 kilometers up. The higher the greenhouse gas, the more effective it is at trapping heat from the Earth’s surface.
The burning of fossil fuels affects the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. Before the industrial revolution, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere was about 288 ppm. We have now reached about 414 ppm, so we are on the way to doubling the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by the end of this century. Scientists say that if CO2 doubles, it could raise the average global temperature of the Earth between two and five degrees Celsius. We are already increasing the amount of energy that bounces back to the Earth. Because of the greenhouse effect, this is causing global warming with its many destructive impacts.
Both water vapor and CO2 are responsible for global warming, and once we increase the CO2 in the atmosphere, the oceans warm up, which inevitably triggers an increase in water vapor. But while we have no way to control water vapor, we can control CO2. And because we are increasing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere by continuing to burn fossil fuels, even in relatively small amounts compared to the entire mass of the atmosphere, we are disturbing the entire heat balance of the planet."

I can spot many discrepancies in this explanation. First one: Since the two layers of gases can not mix and are positioned at two different altitudes, the smaller group of CO2 is much higher than the H2O group [clouds that discharge periodically over the earth] how can they interact with each other? They obviously do not. Air pressure decreases with altitude. "At sea level, air pressure is about 14.7 pounds per square inch (1 kilogram per square centimeter), and the atmosphere is relatively dense. At 10,000 feet (3 km), the air pressure is 10 pounds per square inch (0.7 kg per square cm), which means molecules of gas that make up the atmosphere are less dense."

There is simply not enough CO2 up there to form a blanket which would trap the heat, and the low atmospheric pressure means molecules are far apart from each other so they can not emit heat radiation back to earth. The two strati can not interfere with one another.
Second: If the two are separated and the stratosphere has ozone in it that absorbs sun\'s UV radiation, it is likely that CO2 would share its energy with ozone molecules. Since ozone in our stratosphere reaches up to 1,000 degrees Celsius, because it absorbs solar radiation, isn\'t this evidence pointing then to the sun as a causation of the \'so called\' global warming?

My understanding of what happened after the flood is:
The whole cities and the buildings that withstood the flood emerged out of the mud and the gold and gems that were mined before the flood and used to ornate it\'s occupants were also washed out over the land. Noah\'s descendants eventually claimed everything they found and the new dawn of violence emerged because of the man\'s greed. Wars were fought, harsh laws and lack of justice prevailed in all the land where humans settled. Climate also changed and the two polar regions of the Earth got buried in ice and snow.
The most profound realization is that we still live on Atlantis. We are using buildings and bridges they have built. We have everything they have made including the giant books and instruments, crowns and tiaras, statues, know-how of many things they thought us before the flood and yet, we say... not true. God is removing the veil from the eyes of mankind. Don\'t be the last one to see it.
