Christmas

The Druids in ancient France and Britain staged a 12-day festival at the time of the winter solstice. They believed it was the high point of an annual battle between an ice giant, representing death, and the sun god, representing life. They built large bonfires to cheer on and assist their champion, the sun. The Druids and other pagan leaders knew, as we do today, that the days always get longer as the calendar progresses through winter toward spring regardless of their seasonal rituals—but still they persisted in them (L.W. Cowie and John Selwyn Gummer, The Christian Calendar, 1974, p. 22). Unfortunately, so does much of Christianity today.

What is today thought to be a celebration of the birth of Christ began as the pagan midwinter festival. One unbiblical tradition of this holiday is the use of greenery. Decorating with green plants in late December through the beginning of January was one of the ways Druids "honored and encouraged" the sun god at the time of the winter solstice. Families commonly cut down an evergreen tree to bring into their home, where they decorated and displayed it in a prominent place. In the Middle Ages, this ritual of paganism persisted and was eventually adapted and given a Christian label, as Roman Catholic missionaries worked to convince people to worship the Son of God rather than the sun god. In due course, German immigrants brought the practice of decorating evergreen trees to America, where it has flourished. As you may have already guessed, the "Twelve Days of Christmas" of the famous carol owe their origin to the pagan festival too (ibid.). (For more on the pagan origins of this holiday, see "Is Christmas Phony?".)
Easter

Easter

Even Easter, which many assume was instituted to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, is steeped in connections to paganism. The name "Easter" ultimately derives from the name of an ancient Chaldean goddess Astarte, who was known as the "Queen of Heaven." Her Babylonian name was "Ishtar." Since most languages pronounce "I" as ee, it\'s not hard to see how eesh-tar and its linguistic variants could eventually become Easter (see Vine\'s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, 1985, New Testament Section, p. 192, "Easter").

As the goddess of love and fertility, Ishtar\'s symbols were—you guessed it—eggs and rabbits! Rabbits can bear several litters of young each year and thus were highly fertile animals familiar to these ancient people. Worshipping Ishtar during an annual spring festival was intended to ask her blessing of fertility on the crops being planted at that time of year. Decorating eggs as a means of worship seems harmless until you consider that the people also practiced ritual sex acts, often with temple prostitutes, to honor the goddess (Nelson\'s New Illustrated Bible Dictionary, p. 509, "Gods, Pagan"). That doesn\'t sound very Christian, yet most Christians continue to associate eggs and bunnies with what they think is the most solemn holiday of the year.

Traditional Christian doctrines

Unfortunately, some of the most basic things believed by most professing Christians derive from ancient paganism rather than from the Bible. The idea that people have immortal souls was first taught in ancient Egypt and Babylon. The Greeks likewise taught that at death the soul would separate from the physical body (Jewish Encyclopedia, 1941, Vol. 6, pp. 564, 566, "Immortality of the Soul"). That idea was merged into Christianity from Greek philosophy. It did not come from inspired Scripture.

The ancient Egyptians developed the concept of going to heaven. In their mythology, the god Osiris was killed but then raised back to life, whereupon he went to a distant heavenly realm. The Egyptians concluded that if he could do this, then human beings could follow (Lewis Browne, This Believing World, pp. 83-84). This heavenly reward was a central teaching of several ancient mystery religions—but not the religion of the Hebrews or early Christians.

Even some Christian teachings about Jesus have origins in paganism rather than the Biblical record. Babylonian mythology regarding Ishtar claimed that she had a son named Tammuz. He died each year, but then would be reborn again in the spring. The Babylonian veneration of both the mother and child influenced later versions of Christianity that deified Jesus\' mother Mary as much as Jesus Himself (Sir James Frazer, The Golden Bough, 1993, p. 326). This stands in contrast to Scripture, which honors Mary, but reveres no ordinary human being—only Christ.

The Chaldean symbol for Tammuz was the letter tau, which appears as a san-serif "t" and is commonly considered a cross (Babylonian Mystery Religion, p. 51; Vine\'s, "Cross, Crucify"). While the Bible does indeed teach that Jesus was crucified, there is no record of the shape of the crucifix. At that time, Romans used various forms of upright stakes, some with crossbeams and some without. The Bible gives no indication that the early Church ever used the cross as a religious symbol, but several pagan religions had been doing so for centuries before Christ was born.

How to worship God

Why is much of modern Christian ritual and belief based on ancient pagan practice rather than the Bible? Isn\'t it enough that people honor God however they want? Human logic might say that one can do anything to show personal religious faith as long as the intent is to worship God. However, God has a much different view.

When He gave the ancient Hebrews instructions about how to worship Him, God also told them very specifically not to borrow or copy the practices of pagan cultures around them. He said, "Do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I will also do likewise.\' You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way" (Deuteronomy 12:30-31). The point of faithfulness is that God defines how He should be worshipped, not man: "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it" (Deuteronomy 12:32).

Jesus offered a challenge for us all: "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him" (John 4:23). We live in a world historically deceived about the truth—especially religious truth. But when you do learn the truth, take Christ\'s challenge: believe it and follow it. God is seeking you.

Part 1 "The Secret Covenant"

“An illusion it will be, so large, so vast, it will escape their perception. Those who will see it will be thought of as insane. We will create separate fronts to prevent them from seeing the connection between us. We will behave as if we are not connected to keep the illusion alive.

Our goals will be accomplished one drop at a time so as to never bring suspicion upon ourselves. This will also prevent them from seeing the changes as they occur.
We will always stand above the relative field of their experience for we know the secrets of the absolute.

We will work together always and will remain bound by blood and secrecy. Death will come to he who speaks.
We will keep their lifespan short and their minds weak while pretending to do the opposite.

We will use our knowledge of science and technology in subtle ways so that they will never see what is happening.
We will use soft metals, aging accelerators and sedatives in food and water, also in the air. They will be blanketed by poisons everywhere they turn. The soft metals will cause them to lose their minds.

We will promise to find a cure from our fronts, yet we will feed them more poison. The poisons will be absorbed through their skin and mouths. They will destroy their minds and reproductive systems.
From all this their children will be born dead and we will conceal this information. The poisons will be hidden in everything that surrounds them in what they drink, eat, breathe and wear.

We must be ingenious in dispensing the poisons for they can see far. We will teach them that the poisons are good with fun images & musical tones.
Those they look up to will help. We will enlist them to push our poisons. They will see our products used in film and will grow accustomed to them, and will never know their true effects.

When they give birth we will inject poisons into the blood of their children and convince them it is for their health. We will start early on when their minds are young. We will target their children with what children love most… sweet things! When their teeth decay we will fill them with metals that will kill their mind and steal their future.

When their ability to learn has been affected we will create medicine that will make them sicker and create other diseases for which we will create yet more medicine.
We will render them docile and weak before us with our power. They will grow more depressed, slow & obese, and when they come to us for help we will give them more poison.
We will focus their attention towards money and material goods so that they may never connect with their inner self. We will distract them with fornication, external pleasures and games so they may never be one with the oneness of it all.

Their minds will belong to us and they will do what we say. If they refuse, we shall find ways to implement mind altering technology into their lives. We will use fear as our weapon.
We will establish their governments and establish opposites within. We will own both sides! We will always hide our objective but carry out our plan. They will perform the labour for us and we shall prosper from their toil.

Our families must never mix with theirs. Our blood must be pure, always, for it is the way.
We will make them kill each other when it suits us.
We will keep them separated from the oneness by dogma and religion.
We will control all aspects of their lives and tell them what to think, and how.
We will guide them kindly and gently, letting them think they are guiding themselves.
We will foment animosity among them through our factions.
When a light shall shine amongst them, we shall extinguish it by ridicule or death, whichever suits us best.

Sad

We will make them rip each other’s hearts apart and kill their own children.
We will accomplish this by using hate as our ally, anger as our friend. The hate will blind them totally, and never will they see that from their conflict. We emerge as their rulers.

They will be busy killing each other. They will bathe in their own blood and kill their neighbours for as long as we see fit. We will benefit greatly from this for they will not see us, for they cannot see us.
We will continue to prosper from their wars and from their deaths. We shall repeat this over and over until our ultimate goal is accomplished.

We will continue to make them live in fear and anger through images and sounds. We will use all the tools we have to accomplish this. The tools will be provided by their labour.
We will make them hate themselves and their neighbours.
We will always hide the divine truth from them, that we are all one. This they must never know.

They must never know that a man’s colour is an illusion. They must always think they are not equal.
Drop by drop. Drop by drop. We shall advance our goal.
We will take over their land, resources and wealth to exercise total control over them.
We will deceive them into accepting laws that will steal the little freedom they will have.
We will establish a money system that will imprison them forever keeping them and their children in debt.

When they shall band together, we shall accuse them of crimes and present a different story to the world for we shall own all the media. We will use our media to control the flow of information and their sentiment in our favour.
When they shall rise up against us we shall crush them like insects, for they are less than that.

They will be helpless to do anything, for they will have no weapons.
We will recruit some of them to help us carry out our plans. We will promise them eternal life, but eternal life they will never have for they are no of us. The recruits will be called “initiates” and will be indoctrinated to believe false rites of passage to higher realms. Members of these groups will think they are one with us, never knowing the truth. They must never learn this truth for they will turn against us.

For their work they will be rewarded with earthly things and great titles, but never will they become immortal and join us. Never will they receive the light and the travel to the stars. They will never reach the higher realms for the killing of their own kind will prevent passage to that realm of enlightenment. This they will never know.

The truth will be hidden in their face so closely they will be unable to focus upon it until it is too late.
Oh yes, so grand will the illusion of freedom be, that they will never know they are our slaves.
When all is in place, the reality we have created for them will be their prison. They will live in self-delusion.

When our goal is accomplished, a new era of domination will begin.
Their minds will be bound by their beliefs. The beliefs that we have established from time immemorial, but if they ever find out they are our equals, we shall perish then. This they must never know. If they ever find out that together they can vanquish us, they will take action.

They must never, ever, find out what we have done, for if they do we shall have no place to run, for it will be easy to see who we are once the veil has fallen. Our actions shall have revealed who we are and they will hunt us down and no person shall give us shelter.
This is the secret covenant by which we shall live the rest of our present and future lives, for this reality shall transcend many generations and life spans. The covenant is sealed by blood, our blood.

We are the ones who from the heaven to earth came. The covenant must never, ever, be known to exist. It must never, ever, be written or spoken of, for if it is, the consciousness will spawn. It will release the fury of the prime creator upon us and we shall be cast into the depth from whence we came, and remain there until the end of infinity itself.”

The situation in Russia at that time was the major cause of the Russian revolution. There were several reasons for these unbalanced situations which are mentioned below which help you to understand what caused the Russian revolution:

The shortage of food supply, the effects of the Blood Sunday Massacre, and World War I on Russia were some of the major reasons for this revolution.

Autocracy was one of the major reasons that led to this revolution. Czar Alexander II became famous in Russia when some reforms were brought by him. But the successors after him became very autocratic such as Czar Alexander III and Czar Nicholas II. During their ruling period, various political parties lost their powers such as Meer, Jemstvo, and Duma. There was already unrest in the society and their policies and these actions fueled the existing issues. Thus, the autocratic rule of the Czars became one of the major reasons.

Czar Alexander III and his son Czar Nicholas II followed the policy of Russification of all the systems. Nicholas II declared " One Czar, One Church, and One Russia ". Only the catholic religion and the Russian language were introduced as per this policy. Even the Russian language was introduced in non-Russian regions as well such as Poland, Lithuania, Finland, and others. This policy created big unrest in Russia.

The society of Russia was very unbalanced at that time. It consisted of two classes namely the rich and the poor. The rich included all the nobles, feudal lords, and wealthy people whereas the poor class consisted of laborers, peasants, serfs, etc. People from every stratum of Russian society were quite antagonized by the situation. For example, the feudal lords lost their lands, political parties lost their powers, and laborers were pissed off because of low salaries, etc. A suitable environment for the revolution was created by the rise and activities of Nihilism which influenced the Russian Revolution in 1917.

Their main aim was only to destroy the rule of Czars. Their preachers came to destroy the existing system of Czars, the social and religious faith, and the creation of a new world. Their organizations were doing activities to influence the people against the Czars and their system.

The Industrial Revolution also influenced Russian Revolution. Various Russian workers were involved in the construction of the railways of Trans-Siberia and Trans-Caspain and the construction of these railways led to the development of various factories and Industries in Russia.

The rise of consciousness among the laborers led to the dream of getting the country free from the autocratic rule of the Czars.

Consequences of Russian Revolution

The various consequences of the Russian Revolution are mentioned below:

The formation of the new government of the Bolshevik Party under Lenin, which was later known as the communist party. The formation of the secret police which was known as Cheka by the Bolsheviks after the revolution helped Lenin to establish his powers in Russia.Distribution of the farmland to the farmers and factories to the workers.

Nationalization of the banks and formation of the council at a national level to run the economy.Russia pulled itself out of World War I with the treaty of Brest - Litovsk. The end of the rule of Czars with the execution of Nicholas II, his wife, and children. Cruel methods were adopted by Lenin for both criminals and political prisoners. A decrease in industrial production was seen and as a result, the majority of the skilled workers fled the country. The civil war from 1918 to 1920.

Did You Know?

The October Revolution is also known as the Bolshevik Revolution. The names of main leaders of the Bolshevik Party were Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky. Joseph Stalin got power after consolidation and forcibly throwing out Leon Trotsky after the death of Lenin in 1924.

Additional Information

The Cheka which was also known as Vecheka was a security agency or sometimes called a secret police agency of the Bolsheviks which was formed after the October Revolution in 1917. It worked as a shield and sword for the new system and government and to fight against the other revolutionaries. It used to operate on its own and outside the law. It was the short name of the actual Russian name i.e Chrezvychainaia Komissiia means the Extraordinary commission and its first leader was Felix Dzerzhinsky.

Conclusion

Thus, here we have covered the Russian Revolution and its related concepts in detail. The Russian Revolution took place in the year 1917. We have learned about the series of events that led to the occurrence of this revolution, such as what caused the Russian Revolution, what were its consequences, what was Cheka in Russia after the revolution, etc. These notes will be helpful for you to understand one of the major events of history, which substantially impacted world history during that time. It will also provide you with a brief idea of the international scenario with regard to world economics and politics during World War I, the Russian Civil War, the Cold War, and more." Communism was born out of necessity brought about by injustices of capitalistic regimes. "Capitalism refers to an economy where the means of production (land, labor, capital [ex. Plant, equipment, technology]) are owned by individuals or privately owned corporations. Output and prices are determined by supply and demand." Margaret Shannon

"The Russian Revolution took place in the year 1917 when raging workers and peasants raised their voices against the autocratic rule of Czars which ended with the formation of the new government headed by Vladimir Lenin.

The industrial revolution came to Russia with a lot of changes such as social and political. The population was increasing in urban cities such as St. Petersburg and Moscow. Such an increase in the population was becoming a problem for the country due to the limited food supply, economic crisis, mismanagement and damages caused by the wars. Due to the shortage of food supply, the people marched towards the Winter Palace of Nicholas II on Jan 22, 1905 as they wanted to deliver a petition to him. This petition included reforms like - providing better working conditions to all along with an eight-hour workday. But as soon as the crowd entered the palace, the troops started firing at them. This event is known as the Bloody Sunday Massacre. This massacre fueled the Russian revolution of 1905 to a great extent.

The workers went on a number of strikes which were further deteriorating the Russian Economy. Nicolas agreed to bring reforms which were known as October Manifesto but later he dissolved the Russian Parliament. Nothing specific or significant was brought out of this revolution of 1905 but it sparked anger inside the people.

Russia did not have a modernized army at that time, and World War I was disastrous for Russia.Germany seized the important regions of Russia which led to an increase in food shortage and economic problems.Tsar Nicholas II himself took part in the war and left his wife to take care of the government. But the Russian population were against her for being of German heritage.A lot of Russian people lost faith in the government which was seen as a revolution in the coming years.

February Revolution

This revolution started on March 8, 1917. Russia used the Julian calendar at that time, according to which, the date of the revolution was February 23. The raging protestors came to the streets of St. Petersburg due to severe food shortages and were joined by Industrial workers as well. They were clashing with the police and they failed to stop the uprising crowd even after the firing on March 11. A new provisional government was formed by the Parliament of Russia on March 12 and Nicholas II abdicated the throne. This new government was formed under Alexander Kerensky and he established the Statute of rights. But he continued the war, though the opposition was against it, which eventually worsened the economic conditions of Russia and led to more scarcity of food supply. Food riots were being seen in the cities. However, the February Revolution was a mass movement. It did not necessarily reflect the aspirations of the majority of Russians because it was confined to the metropolis of Petrograd. However, the majority of those who rose to power after the February Revolution, both in the Provisional Government (the temporary government that replaced the tsar) and the Petrograd Soviet (a powerful local council representing workers and soldiers in Petrograd), favoured a democratic form of government.

October Revolution

As per the Julian Calendar, it occurred on October 24 and 25, that\'s why it is known as the October Revolution.

The communist revolutionaries led a coup against the government of Kerensky which was led by Vladimir Lenin. The new government was established under Lenin which was formed of a council consisting of soldiers, workers, and peasants. In this way, the World\'s first communist state was established with Lenin as the head of Russia as a whole. It was basically the communist revolution in Russia. But the problems of Russia did not end there. It had to face the Civil War and the Cold War in the coming years.

After October, the Bolsheviks understood that they couldn\'t keep power in an election-based system without surrendering their beliefs and sharing power with other parties. As a result, in January 1918, they openly abandoned the democratic process and declared themselves representatives of a Proletariat Dictatorship. In response, in the summer of that year, the Russian Civil War erupted, lasting long into 1920."

You may wonder this: How do we love God whom we can not see with our own eyes? We live in a world stained by bloody conflicts since our early beginnings, if God exists, wouldn\'t he had done something to stop that? There is a mention of a global flood where God destroys every living thing except for eight humans and a number of animals who are brought into the the ark but for thousands of years after that, it almost looks like God, if he truly exists, has given up on mankind So, some have wrongly concluded that the whole concept of God is nothing more than a human invention, but is it, and has God really forgotten mankind?

If you are a serious student of God\'s word, the Bible, you know of many instances God intervened into human affairs, mostly to do with the nation of Israel and of a two covenants that God made with humans One was with Noah, and the second one with Abraham and his children, the nation of Israel

------
God’s Covenant With Noah
Genesis 10: 1 - 16

1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands. 3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. 5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.

6
“Whoever sheds human blood,
by humans shall their blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made mankind.

7 As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.”

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

The Tower of Babel

Genesis 11:1-9

Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward,[a] they found a plain in Shinar[b] and settled there.

3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel[c]—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth."

-----
The Call of Abram

12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

2 “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”

4 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. 5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.

6 Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. 7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

8 From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.

Hebrews 11 NIV

23. By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. 24. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28. By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.

29. By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned. 30. By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days. 31. By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.

32. And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33. who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34. quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35. Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36. Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37. They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38. the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.

39. These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40. since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect."

Let me state this first, faith is not blind. By that I mean; we do not believe because millions of others have done so and are doing so, though, that is a strong indication that perhaps we are on the right track. We believe because, after acquainting ourselves with the \'word of God\' we have come to a conclusion that words of scripture are indeed words of God, even though written by men of reverence for God. There is no blind belief involved in this for if it is, then such faith has no value with God and will predispose one to doubts. So, how do we acquire such faith? First, we have to believe that God exists and that we are his creation or, why bother studying the scripture if we doubt his existence? We would be wasting our time, wouldn\'t we?

This is what scripture says about faith; (Hebrews chapter 11:1- 40)

1. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. 4. By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead. 5. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

7. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith. 8. By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11. And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

13. All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

17. By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18. even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 19. Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death. 20. By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future. 21. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff. 22. By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.

What is dogma? Dogma is authoritative set of teachings and beliefs relating to Law and faith.
What then is the faith? Faith is a path we permit ourselves to explore, experience and live by that is based upon our understanding of a book, we believe to be a Word of God.

Romans 3 (the whole chapter) written by Apostle Paul, from Corinth, in 56CE
God’s Faithfulness

3:1. What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? 2. Much in every way! First of all, the Jews have been entrusted with the very words of God.

3. What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? 4. Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written:

“So that you may be proved right when you speak
and prevail when you judge.”

5. But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) 6. Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? 7. Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?” 8. Why not say—as some thunderously claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is just!

No One Is Righteous

9. What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written:

“There is no one righteous, not even one;
11.
there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
13.
“Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
14.
“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15.
“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16.
ruin and misery mark their ways,
17.
and the way of peace they do not know.”
18.
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

19. Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

Righteousness Through Faith

21. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24. and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26. he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

27. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30. since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

These concepts will be explained in more detail in my next journal/s
