"Western civilization traces its roots back to Europe and the Mediterranean. It is linked to ancient Greece, the Roman Empire and with Medieval Western Christendom which emerged from the Middle Ages to experience such transformative episodes as the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, scientific revolution, and the development of liberal democracy... Western culture, sometimes equated with Western civilization, Occidental culture, the Western world, Western society, and European civilization, is the heritage of social norms, ethical values, traditional customs, belief systems, political systems, artifacts and technologies that originated in or are associated with Europe." Wikipedia
In recent times we are increasingly seeing a growth of antipathy for historically important monuments of "old" and a hellbent fervor to dismantle the foundations of democracy. People behind the riots and vandalism are overwhelmingly people of another race or, culture who are now citizens of UK and US. Is this the thanks UK or any other democratic government gets for opening their borders to them. These people are opportunists, fighting for their own \'ill concocted\' ideas who have no regard for what majority of people wants. They, of course, assume that everyone wants what they want. No, not everyone is mesmerized with communistic ideals. Just consider for a moment what Russian revolution had accomplished for them as people. Every Russian person I talk to, tells me that what they fought for and what they got are completely two different things. Why do you think they are deflecting so much if what they have is a wonderful regime? Do you really think that Russian, Chinese or N. Korean people have the type of freedoms you are craving for? If so, why don\'t you try to live among them and see for yourselves if life is really good there?
The big question is why are these \'outsiders\' to the Western values dictating such changes? Who is oppressed and discriminated against or, prevented from achieving their full potential? Most of the world\'s population will raise their hands up. There simply isn\'t enough opportunity for all. Why call that a racism? Are you starving? Are you under attack from \'white\' people in general? What is the reason for your discontentment? Don\'t you realize that other groups are also going thru similar difficulties and you don\'t see them destroying their country, do you? The sad truth is; no government on Earth can satisfy you because, the only person that can give you all this is the very person you reject. That person is God. Because you fight to prove God dead, you will never see such good days, neither will children of your children see it, for God is bringing destruction of this world on your account. You translate any look, a word, any action directed at you as racism. Get over it. Discrimination is everywhere, against \'whites\', \'blacks\' and against Asians.
You have made racism your pet hate but you wear it around your neck as an ornament of beauty. Racism is wrong, so is laziness. Forget the past and move on. Do your part to be a good citizen and your life opportunities will improve. Your attitudes have to change. While I was in Asia, I have experienced some racial discriminatory remarks, dirty looks and such thrown at me daily. People do that to one another, you just ignore it. If racism is your problem and you can\'t take another drop of it then, go and live in your own country of origin. Problem solved.
When UK had its borders opened, during the period of them being in EU, they were inundated with refugees, migrants, business opportunist and job seekers of every description pouring into the country from all over the globe. How many people do you think Britain can feed or look after? Same questions apply to US. So, now that you are "in" and "comfortable", go bite the hand that feeds you and then smash and destroy your host. Is it fair to dismantle the country which has given you a better life? What do you think? Have fear though because, British people are not as stupid nor as weak, as you perceive them to be. You have made a classic mistake; you interpret meekness for weakness. It will be your folly to proceed in this course.

Piers Gets Into a Fiery Debate Over Trump\'s UK Visit | Good Morning Britain Jul 12, 2018
President Donald Trump is due to visit the UK on his first official visit since becoming President. Thousands are expected to protest his arrival, one of them being Ash Sarkar who gets into a heated debate with Piers on why she will be protesting.
Notice this argument... unreal, Ash Sarkar would do fine in India fighting for her own people with that fire. When Pierce points out to her that she didn\'t protest against Obama \'your hero\' he says for deporting millions of refugees during his office, she denies Obama being her hero and spurts out; "I\'m a communist, you idiot" Yes, Ash Indian people need you. Go and fight for disadvantageous , for those starving in India, for those living in squalor and for the masses of unprivileged children who have to scavenging thru Bombay\'s garbage. The same applies to any first generation migrants regardless where you were born. What you didn\'t help to build, you have no right to destroy.

"Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another. It may also mean prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different race or ethnicity."
According to this explanation Asians may also feel superior to Europeans, Hispanic and Black Africans. The question is; why would one race feel superior to the other races? Where is the moral leg in this argument? What is the underlying argument here? If this was correct than Africans stand the best chance of legitimately claiming racial superiority over everyone else since, all other national groups are suppose to be coming out of Africa. Of course this argument would work for evolutionists but not all of us believe that we have evolved from apes. Adam and Eve\'s story is set in Middle East, not in Africa.
What sets one race above the other? Is it a level of civilization they had reached or perhaps, their history is less stain with blood of innocent people? Is it in their contribution towards modernization of this world? It is a fairly common practice for people of any race to view one another with some level of reserve. Idea that skin color and facial features have anything to do with it is not entirely true but occasionally these outward differences may be a reason for people rejecting one another. We have an inborn safety switches in our heads that get activated when we encounter someone whom we can not immediately file into that \'OK\' group. We all like to believe that we are on the right (read superior) side/group. If we did not believe that, we would be very miserable and that state of mind can move people to change their sides. The old saying; \'When in Rome do as Romans do\' works.
We know that racism did exist and on every continent. Africans had enslaved their own people just about forever and are still engaging in a slave trade now. So did Chinese and the white Europeans. Slavery existed in old Babylon, Assyria, Egypt, and during the Turkish and Roman Empires. Slavery never had anything to do with racism. It was an exploitation of the poor population by the powerful few at the top. It was never God\'s way of doing things but a man\'s misuse of power.
The current protests against the racial discrimination of black population is an outcry for justice. It is useful to note this, only a small percentage of police officers turn corrupt. Most are living up to the standards of what is expected of them. If Minneapolis Police department or, any other in US, needs an independent inquiry into their handling of black population, then this is what should be done and bad practices, attitudes and, methods of handling suspects toned down to \'one rule\' for all. What \'ANTIFA\' and \'Black Lives Matter\' groups are doing now is trying to overturn the whole democratic system. No one should support this movement, least of all Mayor of Minneapolis. America without the Police service and protection will become a \'lawless\' country like during the Wild West days. Anarchy gives birth to million and one of other problems such as return of gangster operated organizations for security of the few and an increase in crime. Is this really what US people want for themselves??
Do black lives matter? They most certainly do, but so do all other lives. Life is a life. Stay on the side of the Law. It is there to protect you. George Floyd is not a hero. He crossed the safe boundaries of the Law however, his punishment was unjust and unlawful and such behavior of the Police Department is appalling, unconstitutional and should change quickly. Taking a knee by the police to honor George Floyd was unnecessary but working with the black population to regain their trust in them, should be now a high priority.
Why is it controversial to say \'all lives matter?\'
ALL LIFE MATTERS BUT SAY IT TO SOMEONE WHO IS COMMITTED TO THE \'BLACK LIVES MATTER\' MOVEMENT AND THEY WILL DENY IT?? SOMEHOW, THEY FEAR THAT THIS IS A TRICK QUESTION AND IF THEY AGREE WITH YOU, THEY WILL LOSE THE GROUND FOR THEIR ARGUMENT. PERHAPS, INSTEAD OF USING RUBBER BULLETS AND TEAR GAS, POLICE OFFICERS SHOULD USE A HOSE AND SPRAY THEM WITH WATER TO BRING THEM BACK TO THEIR SENSES.

Question: "Who was Asherah / Ashtoreth?"
Answer: Asherah, or Ashtoreth, was the name of the chief female deity worshiped in ancient Syria, Phoenicia, and Canaan. The Phoenicians called her Astarte, the Assyrians worshiped her as Ishtar, and the Philistines had a temple of Asherah (1 Samuel 31:10). Because of Israel’s incomplete conquest of the land of Canaan, Asherah-worship survived and plagued Israel, starting as soon as Joshua was dead (Judges 2:13).
Asherah was represented by a limbless tree trunk planted in the ground. The trunk was usually carved into a symbolic representation of the goddess. Because of the association with carved trees, the places of Asherah worship were commonly called “groves,” and the Hebrew word “asherah” (plural, “asherim”) could refer either to the goddess or to a grove of trees. One of King Manasseh’s evil deeds was that he “took the carved Asherah pole he had made and put it in the temple” (2 Kings 21:7). Another translation of “carved Asherah pole” is “graven image of the grove” (KJV).
Considered the moon-goddess, Asherah was often presented as a consort of Baal, the sun-god (Judges 3:7, 6:28, 10:6; 1 Samuel 7:4, 12:10). Asherah was also worshiped as the goddess of love and war and was sometimes linked with Anath, another Canaanite goddess. Worship of Asherah was noted for its sensuality and involved ritual prostitution. The priests and priestesses of Asherah also practiced divination and fortune-telling.
The Lord God, through Moses, forbade the worship of Asherah. The Law specified that a grove of trees was not to be near the altar of the Lord (Deuteronomy 16:21). Despite God’s clear instructions, Asherah-worship was a perennial problem in Israel. As Solomon slipped into idolatry, one of the pagan deities he brought into the kingdom was Asherah, called “the goddess of the Sidonians” (1 Kings 11:5, 33). Later, Jezebel made Asherah-worship even more prevalent, with 400 prophets of Asherah on the royal payroll (1 Kings 18:19). At times, Israel experienced revival, and notable crusades against Asherah-worship were led by Gideon (Judges 6:25-30), King Asa (1 Kings 15:13), and King Josiah (2 Kings 23:1-7)."
Though Ashera, Ashtoreth may or may not be Eastoreth, depending on what authority you are listening to, the connection between ancient paganism and today\'s Easter traditions is evident.
Everyone who celebrates Easter views this day as a celebration of Christ resurrection. We remind ourselves of importance of Jesus death. However, the emphasis is put on his resurrection rather than the meaning of his death, which is of greater importance to us. God\'s son was born as a human for one reason only. That reason was to die for Adam\'s sin and he volunteered to do that before God made the first pair. There was never any doubt that Jesus would return to his heavenly existence. He didn\'t come to defeat Satan but to annul the sentence of death put upon Adam (and Eve) and their offspring. When first man Adam willfully disobeyed God regarding the eating of the forbidden fruit, he immediately fell under the sentence of death, as God warned he would. "but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, \'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.\' " Genesis 3:3 New American Standard Bible
Both humans, Adam and Eve had sinned thus are both marked for destruction but not having any children at that time, God allows them to exist until many children were born out of them. "Thus all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died."
Genesis 5:5 (English Standard Version)
It is important to understand that Jesus came to die for Adam\'s sin not Eve\'s, who was deceived by an angel whom we now refer to as Satan, the Devil. God holds Adam responsible for this act of disobedience because it was Adam who received this command about the tree directly from God. Adam had a choice; he could have refused to eat/touch the fruit. Had he done that, God would have spared them both. All humans, with exception to Jesus, are offspring of this human pair and thus all fall under the same sentence. Because we have inherited the same mark, we are all born in sin. The act of procreation is not a sin we were born with, but Adam\'s disobedience to God is. Its important that we see it in this light. Sex becomes a sin only when committed outside the boundaries of what God permits. I. E., marriage is a God\'s arrangement, an agreement between a man and a woman to share their life together until death. Adultery is the only lawful reason before God for braking that bond. However, there is always an option of a forgiveness on a part of the wronged side. If the person that is thus wronged chooses not to extend such a forgiveness to his/her partner, he or she is not to be judged by anyone, for God permits it. Homosexuality/lesbianism/pedophilia/incest, bestiality and other forms of sodomy are viewed by God as gross sins. "And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire." Jude 6-8 (NIV)
So, why do we have symbols of fertility in Easter? Where do they come from and, is there any connection between Easter traditions and Jesus death and resurrection? Even more importantly is, how does God and Christ view this celebration?
Encyclopedia Britannica gives this explanation on Easter: "The English word Easter, which parallels the German word Ostern, is of uncertain origin. One view, expounded by the Venerable Bede in the 8th century, was that it derived from Eostre, or Eostrae, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility. Easter, like Christmas, has accumulated a great many traditions, some of which have little to do with the Christian celebration of the Resurrection but derive from folk customs."
"Coloured eggs and bunnies abound at Easter and yet they are ancient symbols that even pre-date Christianity." https://www.thefield.co.uk/country-house/easter-eostre-24035
Who was Eostre and how was she worshiped? Did Jesus command that his followers observe Easter or the day of his resurrection?
"Eosturmonath has a name which is now translated "Paschal month", and which was once called after a goddess of theirs named Eostre, in whose honor feasts were celebrated in that month. Now they designate that Paschal season by her name, calling the joys of the new rite by the time-honored name of the old observance." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
The Lord’s Supper Instituted
"While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. “But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” Mathew 26:26-29
Democracy has many good aspects in its ideology so, why isn’t it working for people any more? You may disagree with this statement and say, oh , but it does work for me. Regardless, US remains divided on this issue. Clearly, about half of its citizens rejects democratic party and its representatives. What has gone wrong? For many decades, democracy has ruled over the Americans and others quietly went along with it, until Donald Trump came along and turned everything on its head. Obviously, some voters who previously went along with the Democrats, chose to switch their sides. What made them do that? What lessons are there for politicians to learn?
Another reason for the chasm between democrats and republicans is a difference in people\'s need to adhere to Christian standards. Since we have a freedom of worship, and our society is based upon Christian standards, why don’t we also have a freedom to demand of our government to uphold these standards? The whole justice system in America is based upon principles found in the Bible. Without going into dissecting branches of Christian faith, a part of the world that subscribes to Christianity and not Hinduism, Buddhism and so on, should be aware that the whole world is watching them. Scientists cannot prove that God doesn’t exist. Why then, do we waver so much in our opinions on faith? The world expects Americans and Brits to act like Christians yet, these very countries are reaching out to socialism which was rejected by the all known socialistic/communistic regimes. Oh, no, no, no, I hear you say. What about N.Korea, Russia, China? Well, if you think that they are adhering to principles of that ideology, then you are very ignorant to what socialism and communism is.
"Communism is the political belief that all people are equal, that there should be no private ownership and that workers should control the means of producing things." _Collins Dictionary. Socialism is a more friendlier form of communism. It is a more relaxed form of ideology that allows for some privatization of businesses and land ownership. In more recent times, communism was started by Marx and Engels and later on embraced by Lenin and some other revolutionary leaders like Mao Zedong. True communism and socialism is almost everything Christianity is without God in it. It desires and promises freedom and equality to all. Where did we hear that before? Naturally, this is foundation of democracy, yes, the one started by early Greeks. Do however, people get what is promised to them by this form of rulership? No, they do not. Some can not openly admit it for fear of ridicule or, punishment. Communism/socialism that Democrats now embrace offers no real freedom of equality, and its definitely not one that shares everything. Its fallacy at its utmost. What does this show?
It shows that though we do know what our basic needs are, we are quickly hoodwinked by empty promises of our politicians. Are we not finally realizing that all human agencies are disappointing at best, and that we are ready for a dramatic change. The systems employed to serve us are clearly failing us. We have become slaves to their ideas but reality shows that such freedoms are given only to a few, while most get a bare minimum of anything, if we are lucky. So, let us seek what the will of our Creator is. He made us for a purpose not to be slaves to anybody, but to enjoy life and to happily co-exist with one another. Every living thing has awareness of its creator; animals and plants included. Its time for each one of us to re-evaluated our beliefs and start trusting the hand that gives us breath of life, air, water and food and this beautiful planet to live in.
"The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for
In him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your own poets have said, "For we are indeed his offspring."
Being then God\'s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.” English Standard Version
Vaccine ingredient warning: Ethyl mercury in vaccines 50 times more toxic than methyl mercury in fish
"Thiomersal (INN), or thimerosal (USAN, JAN), is an organomercury compound. This compound is a well-established antiseptic and antifungal agent. The pharmaceutical corporation Eli Lilly and Company gave thiomersal the trade name Merthiolate. It has been used as a preservative in vaccines, immunoglobulin preparations, skin test antigens, antivenins, ophthalmic and nasal products, and tattoo inks. Its use as a vaccine preservative was controversial, and it was phased out from routine childhood vaccines in the European Union, and a few other countries in response to popular fears. There is a scientific consensus that these fears are unsubstantiated."_Wikipedia???
"Vaccines play important role in our health\', so we are told. What exactly are they made of?
Most sources explain that in this way;"A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a particular disease. A vaccine typically contains an agent that resembles a disease-causing microorganism and is often made from weakened or killed forms of the microbe, its toxins, or one of its surface proteins." Wikipedia
Wow! Wait the minute, the vaccine typically contains an agent that "resembles" a disease causing microorganism? If you dissect a microbe, that microbe is now something else. You create a new pathogen. If you kill it and then use it in a vaccine, your body will not recognize the intruder when you get exposed to it. So, your immune system will read a mutilated antigen differently as it normally would, had you been infected with a live microbe thru exposure to it. The signature such an inactivated antigen has left in you will be weak and hence the body\'s response will also be weak. Shingles are one example of this. Your body has a partial information of the pathogen so it can only produce antibodies that fit that blueprint. This cut out section of a microbe or its toxin is now inserted into a culture which is a protein or a tissue extracted from various sources such as an egg, bacteria itself which is coated with sugar so that your body produces antibodies to this saccharide, now called a polysaccharide, and even into the cultures of two originally aborted fetuses that is still kept alive. This is done to make the antigen survive since the stem-cells promote longevity of a microbe so that your body can react to it and recognize it as a real threat to your life.
Still, the vaccine is not complete because it needs some preservative to prolong its stability and shelf life. Do you know what preservatives are used in today\'s vaccines? Remember thiomersal? Have you ever heard of phenoxyethanol, and formaldehyde? What about aluminum? Then, this unknown pathogen gets injected into your baby, toddler or 15y.old? And what about the elderly who regularly get themselves vaccinated against the common flu. This is called science? How is this possible?

The threat to the Amazon rainforest l A New Climate
"Hahai no ka va i ka ulula\'av" is an old Hawaiian proverb. It means; The Rain Follows After The Forest. Yes, the rain comes to forest but avoids the dry land. This is not surprising when you consider how natural water cycle of absorption and evaporation works. Heat from the sun causes the evaporation and transpiration of moisture from vegetation and soil. Moisture or, mist lifts upwards due to molecular expansion of H2O by the heat from the sun. Higher up it goes, cooler it gets, leading to its condensation or formation of water drops which can now form into a cloud. When the mass gets heavy enough, it will fall as rain. The water-cycle is established. The same process happens over the oceans and other large bodies of water. This is why deforestation of the land leads to drought conditions of that region and why we get more forest fires now. Trees vary in their ability to evaporate. Firs and conifers and some other plants like cacti and succulents are less prone to evaporation and transpiration thru foliage than some other vegetation such as deciduous trees.
Evapotranspiration and the Water Cycle
Altering the behavior of the natural water cycle leads to droughts and bush fires. We need some clearing of the land for food production to meet the needs of the population but land should be managed judiciously by the authorities and environmental specialist instead of being managed by the politicians and real-estate mongrels who have other objectives. Changing the natural environment of the region also changes the climate of that region. The best examples of such deforestation are clearing of the rain forests of Amazon in Brazil and in Australia.
When European settlers came to Australia, they brought with them their old ways, which was to cultivate or, farm the land. Trees were cleared off in favor of sheep and cattle grazing. The continent was already undergoing a thousand year period of drought and infestation of its flora, and fauna by invading species from other lands. By changing its natural environment, humans have inadvertently created their own demise. Forest is a community. When you hack into it, it shrinks back by altering the chemistry of the soil vie its root system. This opens up the way for other seeds to establish, seeds brought in by the migrating birds of other lands, islands and continents. Only the tough species will survive thru now more arid conditions of the region. As the land becomes dryer and dryer, due to mechanical changes in water cycle, the chronic lack of adequate precipitation results in a cascading effect of events that will bring in more droughts. The now more exposed land will absorb more heat from the sun that it can not regulate as efficiently as it did before, resulting in altered weather patterns of that region and eventually of the whole world. Off scale temperatures, droughts, bad weather and, forest fires are all result of huge scale deforestations.
Drought tolerant trees usually contain oils in their bark and foliage that is highly flammable, all too bad for fire conditions of already \'drought overcome\' continents like Australia and Africa. Man should not interfere with its environment but work with it. "Hahai no ka va i ka ulula\'av"

Yes, you can sleep peacefully because, you & I are not causing the climate change. We are contributing to the global garbage overload; pollution of the land, water, and the air, but these are very different and disconnected problems of mankind from a climate change that are, unfortunately, running parallel to each other.

How Ice Ages Happen: The Milankovitch Cycles
This is one of the reasons why \'human causing pollution\' has been pinpointed as a cause of climate change. The fingers that are responsible for that are the fingers of the scientists employed/ endorsed by the UN organization and politicians of democratic/communistic/socialistic orientations. Scientist that are disagreeing with this narrative are shamed and discredited thru media and are given false tags of being denialists.
You should be very suspicious when scientists of the opposing views are being viciously attacked for their opinions. What we should be seeing is a healthy debate, a round table discussions where more information means a better picture of what is going on. You have been cheated from getting that information and incorrectly blamed for causing the biggest disaster in modern history of mankind. You have been told that it is in your hands to stop the climate change. No, it is not. You and I can not prevent nature from going about its business.
Earth’s Climate in the 2020\'s (2/3)
Dramatic climate changes are cyclical in nature and have happened hundreds and thousands of years before humans ever walked the earth. So, what can we do then? We can search and demand to know all the facts of those that are blaming us for it. No government can save us from what is coming upon us. Underground cities are well equipped to save some life from a nuclear disasters or, an ice age, but not from the polar shift, asteroid impact or from a tectonic plate displacements which will create off the scale earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis, the likes of which mankind has never eye-witnessed before.
Yes, they are trying to mislead you so that you help them to achieve their goal, which is to create a one world government. UN has no reason to exist other then to unite the world. The world can not be united while different belief systems exist. Unity is possible only if majority embraces one faith however, not by force because this would violet your God given right to free will. Therefore, such unification of this world is highly unlikely. How else can UN move mankind to unite but to give them a worthy cause which is to save the world from destruction of effects of global warming. First, they make you feel guilty by saying that you are responsible for it and provide scientific reports to prove it, even though this is impossible. When you agree with them, you get angry with those that are denying it and start your rallies and demonstrations of protest. You become UN minions to realize their goal. That goal is to bring in a global "social" change which will annihilate religion in its roots and push for a higher end technology like AI industry. Is this what you want and more importantly, is this what this world wants?

Did you know that a hard bump on a head may lead to a full-blown depression later on in life? I\'m sure you had a few as a child, I guess, most of us did. One survey claims that 1 in 10 Americans will have depression at some point of their life. Of course, these numbers change from year to year. What are the health experts saying on the subject?
"Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year.
Anxiety disorders are highly treatable, yet only 36.9% of those suffering receive treatment.
People with an anxiety disorder are three to five times more likely to go to the doctor and six times more likely to be hospitalized for psychiatric disorders than those who do not suffer from anxiety disorders.
Anxiety disorders develop from a complex set of risk factors, including genetics, brain chemistry, personality, and life events."

After Larsen C ice sheet broke off, many are concerned if this is a new evidence of global warming and impending catastrophe for the world in our near future. What is happening to this least known of all continents on Earth? Is it falling apart, and should we be worried about it? Here is an article which may be of help to those concerned.
"Antarctica boasts a great many superlatives: it is the driest continent, the coldest, the remotest, the windiest and the highest on average. Right now, during midwinter, it is also the darkest. As a rift on the continent’s Larsen C ice shelf lengthens and gets closer to the ice front, we are anticipating the detachment of a large tabular iceberg within the next few weeks.
This comes after observations of a waterfall on another ice shelf last summer, reports of extensive surface melting on several ice shelves and, in a report last week, indications of a widespread surface-melting event, which included rainfall as far as 82 south, during the 2015-16 El Nio. Are glaciologists shocked by any of this? Is Antarctica going to melt away? Is Larsen C about to collapse?
The answer to these questions is no. Glaciologists are not alarmed about most of these processes; they are examples of Antarctica simply doing what we know Antarctica has done for thousands of years. But because there is a potential link between the ice sheet and climate change, glaciologists are suddenly faced with a situation where the spotlight is on our science on a seemingly daily basis, and every time a crack grows, or a melt stream forms, it becomes news. The situation is a conundrum: we want people to be aware of Antarctica and concerned about what might happen there in the near future as climate changes. But hyping research results to sound like climate change, when they are just improved understanding of natural behavior, is misleading.
To understand all of this, we need to think about how Antarctica works. The ice sheet stores 90% of Earth’s freshwater, which would translate to about 60m of sea-level rise around the globe if it all melted. If Larsen C were to disappear, its tributaries could contribute about 1cm to the global sea level.
The ice gets there through snowfall, just like the ski slopes at Chamonix, but, in Antarctica, with annual average temperatures ranging from -5C to -60C, most of the snow that falls over winter remains at the end of each summer. Over millions of years, snowfall has been added, buried and compacted by new snowfall, and an ice sheet has grown."
This second article may be more confusing to you than clarifying. The rise of the oceans is still small but not happening because Antarctica is melting or falling apart but rather comes from a yet unidentified source and is subject to further in-depth studies by NASA and other scientists.
