Yanmar Diagnostic Tool Adapter
Procedures:
(1) Swing the upperstructure so that the drain plug 2 of hydraulic oil reservoir 1 can position in the middle of the tracks. Then lower the bucket to the ground and stop the engine.
(2) Open the engine hood rear cover 3 and remove it. (3) Disconnect the battery negative cable 5 from the battery 4. (4) Loosen three cap screws 6 to remove the side cover 7. (5) Remove the bottom cover 8 and put an oil container under the drain plug 2 of the hydraulic oil reservoir. (6) Remove the drain plug 2 to drain hydraulic oil. (Q\'ty: 10 Gal(38L)) At this time, loosening or removing the filler cap 9 make oil draining easier. (7) Open the bonnet B 10. ( Open the bonnet R 11. (9) Prepare a container for coolant draining. (10) Remove the drain plug 12 to drain coolant. (Q\'ty: 1.8 Gal((6.7L)) At this time, loosening or removing the radiator cap 13 make oil draining smoother (11) Remove the bonnet B 10. (12) Remove the bonnet R 11. (13) Remove the canopy roof 14 and the canopy pole 15. (14) Remove the floor step 16. (15) Disconnect the engine speed control cable from the engine. (16) Disconnect the pilot oil hoses 18 from the control valve. Note : • Mark each hose to reinstall on the original position. • Plug each hose end and fittings on the control valve against dust (17) Open the front cover 19 of the seat mount to disconnect two wiring couplers 20 and 21. (1 Remove the seat mount 22. Note : Use sling belt, hook and hoist with enough strength and capacity to lift it up. (19) Disconnect hydraulic hoses from the hydraulic pump. a. Suction b. P1 c. P2 d. P3 e. B1 f. B2 g. A h. P(P4) i. C1 j. C2 Note : • Mark each hose to reinstall on the original position. • Plug each hose end and fittings on the control valve against dust. (20) Remove the rear weight 23. (21) Loosen two hose clips 24 to disconnect the hose (oil cooler - reservoir) from the reservoir. (22) Loosen two hose clips 24 to disconnect the hose (oil cooler - swing motor) from the swing motor. (23) Remove five cap screws to remove the engine subassembly 27. Note : Use sling belt, hook and hoist with enough strength and capacity to lift it up. (24) Loosen the hose clip 70 28 to disconnect the air intake hose A 29 from the air intake manifold.Yanmar Smart Assist SA-Direct 2023 (25) Loosen the two hose clips 32 to disconnect the upper hose 30 and the lower hose 31 from the engine. (26) Loosen four nuts to remove exhaust gas tube 33 from the engine. (27) Loosen four cap screws to remove exhaust gas silencer 34 from the engine. (2 Loosen two cap screws to remove the silencer bracket 35. (29) Remove the silencer bracket 36 from the engine mount. (30) Remove the duct 37, radiator 38 and shroud 39. (31) Loosen four cap screws 40 to remove the vibroisolating rubbers. (32) Remove the engine by lifting. Note : Always keep balance of the engine when lifting it. |

Instructions: 1. Drain all coolant and engine oil. Check engine oil for metal contaminates. 2. Remove turbocharger oil inlet line and oil return line. Remove turbocharger and air pipe to EGR cooler assembly. 3. Remove fan pulley and thermostat housing assembly. 4. Remove coolant pump assembly from timing gear cover. NOTE: DO NOT damage option code label (if equipped),when removing rocker arm cover. NOTE: The vent hose should be disconnected from the vent elbow. The vent elbow should not be removed from the rocker arm cover unless the intent is to replace the elbow assembly. 5. Remove breather hose from rocker arm cover. Remove rocker arm cover. 6. Remove electronic injector wiring harness. 7. Remove rocker arm assembly and push rods. Identify parts for reassembly. 8. Remove front crankshaft pulley and damper assembly. 9. Remove fuel injection lines, fuel connectors, and injection nozzles. 10. Remove engine oil filter, filter base, and valve housing 11. Remove fuel filter and mounting base. Remove high pressure fuel pump gear cover and remove injection pump. 12. Remove high pressure common rail. 13. Remove engine oil cooler assembly 14. Remove front and rear exhaust manifolds and EGR cooler and valve assembly. 15. Remove air intake manifold. NOTE: ALWAYS bolt down liners when rotating engine flywheel with cylinder head removed. 16. Remove cylinder head with assembly. Remove head gasket. 17. Revolve engine on repair stand and remove engine oil pump assembly. 18. Remove front timing gear cover. 19. Revolve engine to vertical position. Remove pistons and connecting rods. Identify for reassembly. Perform bearing-to-journal wear checks with PLASTIGAGE®. 20. On SAE No. 3 flywheel housings, remove flywheel housing and then remove flywheel. 21. On SAE No. 1 and 2 flywheel housings, remove flywheel and then remove flywheel housing. 22. Remove main bearing caps and remove crankshaft.Perform bearing-to-journal wear checks with PLASTIGAGE®. 23. Remove camshaft and cam followers. Identify for reassembly. 24. Revolve engine to horizontal position, remove liners, O-rings, and packings. Mark liners for reassembly in same bore from which removed. 25. Remove piston cooling orifices from cylinder block. 26. Remove any sensors/gauges, cylinder block plugs and engine serial number plate, if block is to be put in a “hot tank

The ESP Lamp Test is available on: ✓ Bendix EC-80 ESP/ESP braking systems This tests if the dashboard Enhanced Stability Program (ESP) lamp is functioning properly by commanding the lamp to change status. User must verify that the dashboard ESP lamp changes to match the test commands. 1. Select the ESP Lamp Test and press Enter or the Start button. 2. The test dialog will be displayed.
3. Click Reset ECU to cause the ESP lamp to turn off and on. This will also reset the braking system which can be observed by audible clicking from the brake modulator valves. Compare the ESP Lamp status reported by the ECU to the dashboard ESP lamp. 4. When done, press the Exit button to return to the test selection dialog.

Steps: Removal: 1 Disconnect the battery cable negative terminal. 2 Disconnect the EGR valve connector. 3 Remove the EGR valve motor from the EGR valve.

NOTE: â—Be careful not to damage the screw head. â—Do not damage the housing. â—Do not touch the spring holder. â—When a spacer is attached, do not remove it. â—Do not reuse old screws.(ifferent length)
Installation 1. Install the EGR valve motor to the EGR valve. Set the connector in the same orientation as when the EGR valve motor is removed, and install the EGR valve motor together with the additional spacer and the plate.
Legend 1 Spacer (when originally attached) 2 Additional spacer 3 Plate 4 EGR valve motor â—The plate has to be installed in a certain orientation, and it should be installed with the concave facing to the EGR valve motor side.
Legend 1 EGR valve motor side 2 EGR valve side â—Tighten the screws in the order shown in the diagram. Tightening torque: 2 N:m (0.2 kg-m/ 17 Ib:in)

Removal 1 Park the machine on firm level ground, apply the parking brake. Lower the loader arms and excavator to the ground, switch OFF the engine and remove the starter key. 2 Remove the fixing B at the top of the instrument panel and carefully lift the panel forward to reveal the connections at the back. 3 Disconnect the temperature control cable C by releasing the cable outer sheath from the clips R at each end, and unhooking the cable from the water valve lever S and from the pin T at the control knob.4 Disconnect the re-circulation vent cable D by releasing the cable outer sheath from the clips X at each end, and unhooking the cable from the vent Y and from the pin Z at the control knob.
Replacement Replacement is the reverse of the removal sequence. After fitting the cables, operate the heater controls and check that they function correctly.
Adjustment If the control cable C is not correctly assembled it is possible that the heater cannot be turned fully off.
To ensure that the heater can be turned fully OFF, the temperature control cable C should be adjusted so that the water valve will close FULLY within the range of movement of the control knob as follows: 1 Set the water valve control lever S to the fully closed position. 2 Turn the heater control knob E a small amount clockwise from the closed position, i.e. a fraction before the cold position on the decal as shown. 3 Tighten the cable clips R to clamp the cable outer sheath. 4 Check the heater control range of movement and that the water valve can be fully closed by turning the knob.

The DPA product line does not support the CAT Data Link (CDL) protocol that is still common among certain CAT off-highway vehicles and industrial stationary equipment. CDL is a proprietary protocol and there are no generic adapters on the market that support this protocol.
To find out if your vehicle/equipment is CDL or a standard protocol (J1708/ATA, J1939), you should look at the diagnostic connector for that equipment in the service manual.
