Hello everybody... It's me, coming up for some air! :P :D In all honesty, my life has been nuts lately!

I had been spending a lot of time in the woods, getting all sorts of nature photos-- it is so peaceful, and I need peace these days! (Don't we all? lol) That came to an abrupt halt on October 6th. I've been dealing with a toe, a tooth, and a squirrel ever since. Well actually, the squirrel problem is resolved now, but it was CRAZY while it lasted. I hope you'll read about it all in my journal-- you'll probably get some smiles out of it. :)

I am still trying to get my life back to a semblance of normal. Nursing my toe along has really slowed me down.

Greetings to everybody! :)

Although I've been logging in to DN everyday, I haven't been very active. Case in point... I haven't uploaded any wallpapers this month... until today, and it's the very last day of the month!

I have to admit that part of it is I've been watching all of the Coronavirus/Covid 19 TV news. (That's about all the news there is, these days!) I've watched in horrified fascination as the numbers of sick people go higher and higher. At least the TV news does one good thing, it leads me to pray, again & again & again for nurses, doctors, and other medical personnel. Also for all of the people who have fallen ill from this hateful virus...

In Michigan we are under "Stay at Home" orders. I think every state in the USA should be doing that-- I feel sorry for people in places that do not have these orders. One of my sisters who lives in another state told me she wishes so much that their governor would give Stay at Home orders too, so everyone will be safer.

At this point, I want to apologize to everyone who belongs to my Cows, Sheep, and Balloon Groups. Normally, I favorite and comment on all of the wallpapers in those 3 groups. I just haven't had it in me to do that lately. :( I may not be getting back to that very much until the pandemic is more under control and less worrisome.

If you have uploaded wallpapers to any of those 3 groups that you would really like me to see and comment on, post them directly on my profile, and I'll try to do better. For that matter, if any of you have ANY walls you think I would appreciate, post those on my profile page too. Frankly, I could use some beautiful walls right now, to keep my mind off of the latest Covid-19 woes.

The 3 wallpapers that I've just uploaded are below. The first wall especially, was inspired by the Covid-19 situation. I hope it will make you smile. We can all use something to laugh at these days...

Hello everyone,

I've been behind in all things DN, especially visiting around. I've been dealing with everything from a very painful tooth to taking a short 3 day vacation. Unfortunately, I had to take the painful tooth with me! :P Finally, towards the middle of the 2nd day, the tooth began to calm down as the antibiotics I was taking started to work. When my husband and I drove home on the third day, we felt refreshed and rejuvenated. Sooner or later, I'll be uploading some vacation photos. We stayed in Michigan and went to Mackinaw Island and then to the Soo Locks in the Upper Peninsula.

Something funny happened to me just before we came home. We were eating at an old fashioned diner. After we had hamburgers, we decided to order soft serve Sundaes for dessert. (I was all for anything soft & easy to eat.) When the waitress brought them out, her hand hit my tall glass of ice cubes and water. Ice and water cascaded into my lap and onto the floor. The poor waitress was very dismayed... but I just burst out laughing. I told her not to worry; she had picked the right person to spill ice water on. I had an extra set of clothing in our suitcase. After John and I ate our desserts, he went out and got me a denim skirt and a green tee shirt. I changed out of my soaked clothing in the bathroom, and then we started our drive home.

I took loads of photos while we were on vacation, but all of the walls here are ones I tried to upload before we left. I simply ran out of time. (2 emergency dental appointments just before we left didn't help!)

Anyway, I hope you like these. The "church geese" and the wallpaper with the moon in it were all photographed at my church. The other three photos are ones I took near my home.

Hi Everybody,

I've been a bit out of touch with most of you, because my back decided to go out once again. So up until now I've had to limit my computer time because of back pain. I finally feel better, however, so I'll be able to start spending more time on DN. :)

Have you ever seen sundogs? I got to see some on January 6th. I couldn't photograph both of them at the same time, or I might have ruined my camera. (I would have had to point it directly at the sun.) I was able to photograph one sundog at a time though, and I've uploaded 3 of my favorite shots.

I hope you will read the description under one of the sun dog walls, especially if you would like to see sundogs in person. Each description gives the best times of day and the best season for spotting them. I like the way they came out in my photos, but everybody should have the joy of seeing them in person. They are more common that you might realize! :D

There is one more wallpaper description of mine I hope you'll read. The colorful abstract above is a sort of journal entry for me, about the deep polar vortex cold that so many of us in the USA & Canada are experiencing. Michigan residents were asked to do something last night that I'm sure will go into the history books. Hope you read it and add your own comments!

Hello Everybody,

Merry Christmas! :D

So many of you have already posted wonderfully cheery Christmas greetings on my page already... for which I sincerely thank you! :) :) :)

I haven't been able to do any Christmas posting until now because my life has been bananas! Actually, I've been feeling a lot like a banana lately. :P

As many of you know, I work at a laser engraving shop where my daughter is my boss. (Yes, she's been going nuts too...) What's happened is that we've been bombarded with all kinds of large orders. One company that sends us 4,000 to 6,000 parts to engrave each month decided this was the right month to send us 15,000 parts. This is great for our business, of course, but oh, the timing!

I've been working many extra hours. My eating is rather off kilter; I'm beginning to believe that candy canes are one of the basic food groups. :P (The canes that haven't made it into my stomach are handed out to customers.) I still don't have my Christmas shopping finished. My Christmas wallpapers never really got finished either. I was hoping to get at least a dozen uploaded. Not anymore... looks like these 5 are going to be it.

Oh well, the rest can wait until next year. I've had a lot of fun with the ones that have made it up, with one exception. (I'm not going to tell you which one it is, but I will tell you that it had me laughing hysterically while my husband rolled his eyes up, because it gave me so much trouble!)

Thank you so much for the love, care, and patience you've shown me over these months. You guys are the greatest, and I'm so glad I know you all!

Hi Gloria,

Woo hoo! It's SPRING!!! In Michigan, that is. I hope it's finally Spring where you live too, unless you live in Australia, or somewhere else in the southern hemisphere where Autumn should be rolling in. :)

All of these wallpapers, are either photos, or from photos, taken in my own yard. They are my Spring celebration. In normal years I would have uploaded walls like these in mid to late April, but there was nothing like them to photograph in April this year. Ice, snow, winds, and grey skies prevailed.

It isn't all blue skies & sunshine here; we've been getting a lot of rain for the past few days. But the temperatures are mild now, and the rain is helping plants to grow. It's a giant improvement from April. I'll gladly take it, and share the beauty of May beauty with you.

I still think of you ALL the time and am blown away by how far your art has come! WOW! I love it! I am sooo busy these days creating e-cards for 123Greetings. There always seems to be SOME holiday coming up that I have to get ecards made for! LOL! But, I love it and it supplements my disability enough that I can earn a little pocket money, but not so much that I get kicked off of disability. Believe me, it is soooo hard to get on when you have legitimate disabilities, but somehow people can get on who have nothing really wrong with them! I guess that's the way it always goes, right? Hi Conrad! I hope all is well with you and that you enjoy the Memorial coming up. Sorry I am never here anymore, but I do (EVENTUALLY) always come back to check my messages and every once in a blue moon (like today) I will get the urge to create a wall paper and upload it. I did a new Marilyn Monroe one just now and uploaded it. It kind of has a spring-y feel to it. I am not sure if you like Marilyn or not, but I love her. I think it's because I relate to her difficult childhood-we were both orphaned with a family history of mental illness and we were both bounced around, got married too young, etc. Too bad I don't have her looks!
