I hesitate to add this next part, but can always delete it later, I guess. I can spend so much time on DN and creating wallpapers because I am on permanent disability for two reasons. The first is that I am severely bipolar. Not just mood swings, but awake for days on end, and then sleeping for weeks at a time. Sometimes, when you don't see me for a while, that's all it is. I am medicated and have been since 2001 without EVER going off my medication. That would be a death sentence for someone like me.
The second reason I am on disability is that I have severe heart disease. I had 2 massive heart attacks, several heart stents and a double bypass surgery all while still in my 30s.
I guess I tell you this because I believe in awareness for both women with heart disease (I had classic signs for two full years before my first massive heart attack, but it was blamed on GERD because of both my gender and my age) AND I believe in awareness for mental illness. For some of us it is a very real disease that destroys our ability to lead a normal life. If you ever have any questions about this, feel free to send me a PM and I'd be happy to explain. Just remember not to judge others too quickly when you don't fully know their circumstances.

As of now I take images I find on the internet, cut them out and place them on either my own background, or someone else's background-sort of creating my own wallpaper by using pieces of other people's work. I almost always alter the images in some way-by changing eye color, or changing/enhancing hair color. In the case of some of Marilyn's black and white images I will sometimes paint her eyes or lips to make them pop and I ALWAYS bevel the edge of my wallpaper. I like the way it looks and it's kind of my signature thing. lol

We are all broken hearted about it and there have been several wallpapers made to comfort each other. I uploaded a wallpaper named Gemma that is on my front page. It displays my feelings about it.
