I was sick for a few days, but better, now.

Little Sam was failing in math. His parents tried everything.

Tutors, mentors, flash cards, special learning centers, but nothing helped. As a last resort, someone told them to try the Catholic School.

"Those nuns are tough," they said.

Sam was soon enrolled at St. Mary's. After school on the very first day Sam ran through the door and straight to his room, without even kissing his mother hello. He started studying furiously, books and papers spread all over his room.

Right after dinner, he ran upstairs without mentioning TV and hit the books harder than before. His parents were amazed. This behavior continued for weeks, until report card day arrived.

Sam quietly laid the envelope on the table and went to his room. With great trepidation, his mother opened the report. Sam has gotten an 'A' in math!

She ran up to his room, threw her arms around him and asked, "Sam, how did this happen? Was it the nuns?"

"No," said Sam. "On the first day of school, when I saw that man nailed to the plus sign, I knew those nuns weren't fooling around."

While drinking at a bar one night a guy is approached by a beautiful woman who starts flirting with him. They talk for a while, have a few drinks, and at the end of the night the girl invites him back to her apartment. They get to the apartment and immediately begin to have passionate wrestling match.

When they are through the girl gets up to get a drink of water and the guy pulls out a cigarette.

"Do you happen to have a lighter?" He asks.

"Check the bedside table."

The man opens the drawer and finds a picture of a scary looking marine staring back at him.

"Oh carp! Is this your husband?"

"No, that was me, before the operation."

A drunk is driving through the city on his motorcycle. He is weaving all over the road.

Eventually, a cop pulls him over.

"Did you know," says the cop, "that a few intersections back, your wife fell off of your cycle?"

"Oh, thank God," sighs the drunk. "For a minute there, I thought I'd gone deaf."

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE

My neighbor was working in his yard when he was startled by a late model car that came crashing through his hedge and ended up in his front lawn.

He rushed to help an elderly lady driver out of the car and sat her down on a lawn chair.

He said with excitement, "You appear quite elderly to be driving."

"Well, yes, I am," she replied proudly. "I'll be 97 next month, and I am now old enough that I don't even need a driver's license anymore."

"You don't need a driver's license anymore?!?"

"That's right! The last time I went to my doctor, he examined me and asked if I had a driver's license?
I told him 'yes' and handed it to him.
He took scissors out of the drawer, cut the license into pieces, and threw them in the waste basket, saying, 'You won't need this anymore.'
So, I thanked him and left!"

MY PLANS FOR PLACES TO TRAVEL IN 2014

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there.
I have made several trips there, thanks to my children, friends, family, and work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp there.

Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the year. You can do your bit by trying to share this information to one unstable person. My job is done!

Life is too short for negative drama and petty things.

So laugh insanely, love truly, and forgive quickly! Well that forgiveness part is up to you!!!

From one unstable person to another... I hope everyone is happy in your head - we're all doing pretty well in mine.
