There were a few images that were unrecoverable, but over 99% of the missing photos are now fully restored!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a busy, but happy Summer for me-- which is the reason that I may not have been around to visit you for awhile. Well... mostly happy. Car problems that were not cheap kept me from seeing my 5 month old granddaughter for a couple of weeks, but at least the car is finally working again.

My job has been keeping me busy also. We are engraving a lot of Stainless Steel mugs right now. We have one type where each shrink wrapped mug must be unwrapped by hand before it is engraved. It's time consuming, and my hands are getting a little sore... but hey... it's a living! I can listen to any kind of music that I want to while I unwrap them too.

I try to upload at least 5 wallpapers a month. I uploaded one wall on July 4th. I tried to get more up here during the month, but things kept coming up. Finally, today, July 31st, I rushed these 5 wallpapers up here. I got them uploaded with less than 3 hours to spare; August 1st starts on Desktop Nexus at 8pm my time. (Michigan, USA) It feels great to have beaten the clock! I hope to get many more walls uploaded during the month of August, because I have a backlog now...stay tuned! lol

As you can see, I've got 3 Cows Group walls up in this bunch; and 2 of them are especially silly... If you aren't a member of the Cows Group yet, you should check it out. There is such an incredible variety of cow wallpapers in it scenic, unusual, cute, humorous, etc... I think this group has become one of the most interesting (and fun!) ones on Desktop Nexus!

I hope that you are having a great Summer also, or a great Winter, depending on where you live!

PS. PUPPYDAWG/ROGER news is that there isn't that much right now. He is doing better, but has an annoying, chronic cough. I do think he could use your prayers. He wants to come back to Desktop Nexus, but he needs a new computer to do so. He has enough money, but he isn't very mobile. Hopefully, one of his relatives will be able to help him out with that soon. Believe me, he misses everybody!

Hi Everybody!

I hope that you are doing well, and have many things to be thankful for. Desktop Nexus is a big one for me, and I bet it is for you also!

Another thing that I'm very thankful for is Autumn. The trees are so beautiful when their leaves turn... in my "neck of the woods" it is a wonderful feast for the eyes. Perfect for a color freak like me!

One thing that made this Autumn truly exciting for me is that I got to go to CANADA for one glorious day! I've been trying to get there for years! (I bet that all of you Canadians are either applauding, or are thinking that I'm just a little bit nuts... lol)

The three wallpapers below were all taken in Canada, 2 by me, and one by my husband. I've written a journal post about the day we were in Canada. I hope you'll have a look at it, if only to see that I'm not totally nuts...! Here is the link to it;

I know that Canadians celebrated their Thanksgiving Day back in October. "U.S.A. Thanksgiving" is coming up this Thursday, November 24th. Hi Jenn,

I hope you are doing well, and are at peace with the weather in your part of the world. I say that because it's supposed to be Spring here in Michigan. Well, 2 days ago we got an inch of snow that actually stayed on the ground! Thank goodness it finished melting away the next day. It's acting like Springtime here once again.

I've been thinking in rainbows lately. I have a tendency to throw every pretty color I can into one wall, but this time, I decided to do something different.

I'm giving each primary color it's own wallpaper this time. I'll soon be adding aqua-blue, blue, purple, & other colors to this "lacy" set.

Of the "lacies" that I've uploaded so far, this green wallpaper is my top favorite.

I like it the best because I'm finding it to be therapeutic! It has a vast 3 dimensional quality that the other 3 color-walls lack. When it's on my computer screen, I find it very soothing & calming, kind of like being deep in a quiet forest. Maybe it will have the same effect on you.

The 2 "black & blue" wallpapers aren't part of the "lacy" set. This one, however means a lot to me.

I named it "My Shiny New Shoe(s)," in part, because I just got a new pair. The shoes are to help me start walking again with my newly healed right foot. I did not deliberately try to make a "shoe abstract" but I was thrilled when a shoe "showed up" while I was designing this wallpaper!

This wall ties in with my latest journal entry. It's about starting walking again--and running into some unexpected dilemnas while I do so!

If you are dealing with health challenges of any kind, I think you'll appreciate it. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is dealing with or has dealt with the perplexities of trying to heal. In fact, if you have your own "trying to heal/get back to normal" story, I would love to read it.

Hi Jenn,

I'm coming your way with Easter greetings that are just a little bit different this year.

I sent all of you Easter greetings last year, but most of you never got to see them. Just a few hours after I left them on your profile, the big Desktop Nexus crash took place. Any DN wallpapers that had been posted on Profiles before the crash vanished.

Of course I was dissappointed. I seriously considered deleting the 2 walls and simply re-uploading them for this year...but somehow, I just couldn't.

Instead, I've made simple variations on them this year. (Links to the walls that I made last year are in each of them.)

So Happy Easter, for LAST YEAR & for THIS YEAR too!

Hi Jenn,

I'm here to make an official, happy announcement. Here it is:

If you are wondering why you haven't heard from me in awhile, it's because I was in a car accident on October 24th, 2015. I'm doing a lot better now, although I will still be wheelchair bound for 8 weeks or more.

Actually, in about 8 weeks, I'll have to go into the hospital again, to have a 2nd (and hopefully final!) surgery on my broken right foot.

If a long period goes by and you don't here from me again, check my profile "recent activity" column to see if I left a note there. I've discovered that I can leave news & comments on my profile, by using a tablet, even if I don't have access to my computer.
At any rate, don't assume that I've departed from DN. Broken foot, or no broken foot, I am here to stay.

I'm flying by...

Because I'm

EARLY!

I have to send them early because...
I'm going to be tied up for awhile with my job. The reason? Well, we have to move a family business to a new building. (It's been in the same building for 25 years!)

What? Worried? Me? Oh no... Not me... Ha-ha, you must be jesting.... (gulp!)

Well for now, I'm putting my moving concerns worries aside, and living it up!

I've been enjoying the great Fall sights & colors in my neighborhood...

and thinking in Halloween colors...

and also thinking about great it is to celebrate Autumn beauty & Halloween with all of you on Desktop Nexus. This has been my Happy place ever since I joined in 2012.

Now with this gigantic move on the horizon, Desktop Nexus seems better than ever... Hey! Come to think of it, we could use some help with moving! Yes, there'll be clutter, dirt, sweat, and chaos, but we could pay you in Pizza and doughnuts! Any volunteers? ...............................Oh well... lol can't say that I blame you.
