I can think of many so people on DN who are going through some rough times right now. I've heard from many of you. And I am one of them myself.

If you are sad or struggling right now, I hope that this wallpaper with it's description and song links will encourage you. If you are doing well, that is great! Maybe you can send this wallpaper to someone who needs it.

I have been having trouble finding time for Desktop Nexus lately, because there has been so much turmoil in my life. But I love it on DN. I am determined stay active on this wonderful website!

I think this wallpaper is my way of looking at all of my troubles--- and punching them in the nose. In other words I'm fighting back!

There are so many of you that I am behind on getting back to! You've had some great things to say and share.. Hopefully, I can finally start playing catch up now! I will try...

Sara1970 told me something that has stuck with me. I don't know anyone that could disagree with it. She read a quote that goes something like this: (her words)

"No matter what is going wrong in your life, someone else in the world wishes they had YOUR problems."

That saying rang so true when I found out about the tragedy in Connecticut at Sandy Hook school. Anyone who suffered the loss of a loved one would trade that agony for my failed hard drive-- in a heart beat!

If you would like to do something on DN to reach out to the people in Conneticut, I have some ideas about how to do that. Please see my journal entry for December 17th.

I hope you check it out. Originally it was going to be part of my greetings, but it made them too long! (A little bit of the journal entry will be repeated, but most of it is not.)

My wallpapers this week are pretty self explanatory... especially the middle one, if you read my journal entry. I put a lot of thought into the Sandy Hook Wallpaper, and I put a lot of fun into the 2 Christmas tree Fractals, (that are made from a photo of a Christmas tree.)

Christmas is coming. I hope I manage to catch it! lol

Hi Jen,

I can hardly believe that Christmas is in 15 days. I'm not sure that I'm ready for it! I'll be singing in a Christmas concert this week, and I don't have some of the music memorized yet. I still have Christmas shopping to do, and cookies to decorate... (Did I just hear you say me too?)

I have to admit that I haven't neglected my wallpaper designing. There are few things that I enjoy doing more.

One of my wallpapers is unique this week, at least to me. Other than tiny figurines in a couple of miniature village wallpapers, I've never had a person in one of my walls. Actually, she's a Christmas ornament, a sweet faced little ballerina. Even if ballet is not your thing, I encourage you to enlarge the wallpaper so you can see how exquisite this young girl is.

My other wallpaper is more like the ones I usually make--but this one has a twist to it. A star in the center of it appears to be floating in the air--or rather--just under the top of the computer screen. Very fun to make! I hope to do more like it sometime.

I hope you are enjoying this wonderful season. If you are feeling a bit too rushed, stop for a moment. Remember the good things that Christmas is all about. Chances are that you are rushing around to make preparations for people that you love and care for. None of them want you to get stressed out over them, even the ones who may be on the ornery side!

(What, ME ornery? Naw...)

PS. Well, now it is time for me to take my own advice! lol Before I had a chance to put this on everybody's profile last night, we got company. It was not unexpected company, but what I was not expecting was that we ended up playing games until after midnight!
