Ah yes, the immortal Thetis, married to the mortal Peleus through an arrangement made by Zeus and Poseidon. Together they sired Achilles who was schooled by Chiron the last centaur, and became a key figure in the Trojan War. The title reflects well with the art. In fact, Thetis is an aquatic deity so this Image projects that persona well. It also depicts the strength of Saturnus, one of the titans of Cronos as described in Hesiod's Theogony . This piece says a lot, it is powerful, moody, and empowers the onlooker to steep in the mystic of ancient lore. Great piece.
