Journal for GentleMon-ToddJournal for GentleMon-Todd
Hello anyone and everyone,

I have been in the process of trying to recover alot of images from my old hard-drive since the operating system toke a dive off the deep end. I thought I had backed up all of my pictures and images, but not even close. Real bummer since I have forgotten alot of the pictures I had, untill I looked at the comments I had posted about some of the images I downloaded. Currently I have about 135,00 images recovered with a file utility. However, I only had about 150-ish between DesktopNexus and Deviant Art. Which could be quicker; looking throught 135,00 images trying to find the 150-ish I actually want, or, trying to remember and find 150-ish images again directly from the web sites? Oh well, at least I can download my Scooby-Doo images and have only a 146-ish more images to go. I did backup several important things, so not all was at a complete loss.
I used Piriform Recuva to find files, any image files, and that is how I got 135,00 images. I did not use any search criteria. I have learned from that mistake. I really did not expect to get 135,00 images to be found. But it tried to recovery any type of image file, most of it is trash of course. Excellent program should you need to recover files from a damaged system.

Truly bummed out about losing all those iimages. Not to mention to start all over with a new Windows Vista 64-Bit install. Oh yah my flat screen full 1080p monitor died as well. I forgot how boring the old square monitors are. Not mention my 18" CRT monitor takes up alot of real estate on my desk.

I am still in physical therapy but for something different now. Very happy to say that I am finally starting to lose weight, on purpose. Got some income cominmg in now as well. Generally better now then since the first journal entry. Still bummed about my computer, not the diversion I was looking for.

Judging from the feedback I am the only one reading my journal entries. That is okay because I am not much of a blogger anyways. I sure thought I would be able to post some sort of tid-bit aobut every three weeks. Gosh, was I ever so wrong about that.

Look how I finally found or remebered to add to my journal. At first I posted a comment to myself that I added below, just for fun...

Is this "post a comment" how to add to my Journal entries? I shall soon find out.
I have spent the last 3 months recovering from a complete hard-drive failure, but first my flat-screen monitor died as well. Them darn cat hairs can be a problem at times. Well, if this is how to post to my journal I should try it quickly. No need to type endlessly to do the opposite of what I intened to do.

Wow, time can sure slip pass quickly when go actually try to find something. I finally uploaded pictures today. Between two removed hard drives and 3 flash memory drives, I actually consolidated some images I have been looking for. I was actually looking for some old drawings of mine to scan and upload, no luck their yet.

I took some pictures with my camera, Kodak C-530, to upload as well. Still working on making sure that I actually put tags in with the file itself first. General nature, twisted root trees, some with moss, some without. Some Sea-Gulls, Pelicans, and Swans as well. Hopefully get all of those up by this weekend.

Take Care and Enjoy!

Well then...

I just joined Desktop Nexus in the last 24 hours. I have a account at Deviant Art and "Nero", or is it "My Nero," as well. I used to draw alot, but not so much anymore. I had talent, but like everything, if you do not keep practicing the word talent turns into the sentence " as a hobby I..." I am sure that It will be about a month before I upload anything. I thought I would get back to art as I am recovering from a neck fusion surgery, reconstructive shoulder surgery (right side and and right-handed), and nerve damage surgery around my right elbow. Looks like I might need the left elbow area as well.

Here is to some fun for me for a change....

Enjoy in Modoration and Moderate the Enjoym
