The roster includes 16 players taken in last month's NHL Draft, World Junior Ice Hockey Championships including Arizona Coyotes pick Barrett Hayton, New York Islanders first-rounder Noah Dobson, Edmonton Oilers blueliner Evan Bouchard and Vancouver Canucks defenceman Jett Woo.

Canada has 39 players at this summer's world junior showcase, a group that will eventually be whittled down to World Juniors Updates team playing in the annual world junior tournament in Vancouver and Victoria this winter. Veterans Alex Formenton and Maxime Comtois are taking the opportunity to set a tone for the team.
