Alibaba Outlines How LLMs Can Improve Speech-to-Text AI Translation
In a January 25, 2025 paper, researchers from Alibaba and Soochow University show how large language models (LLMs) can improve speech-to-text translation. The researchers propose a “joint refinement” approach, leveraging LLMs to simultaneously improve automatic speech recognition (ASR) transcriptions and speech-to-text translations.
