GF Signet 515 Paddlewheel Flow Sensor for Measuring Liquid Flow Rates

GF Signet distributor, GFS is pleased to announce the new Signet Model 515 Paddlewheel Flow Sensor for Measuring Liquid Flow Rates. Just use the 515 to measure the flow of water, lubricating oils, fuels, and other viscous fluids.

Measuring liquid flow rates for oils, fuels, and other high viscosity fluids can be difficult. Sometimes, flow rates are not measured and must be estimated. Others must consider heat buildup or entrained gases in the flow stream, which can lead to inaccuracies.paddle wheel flow meter

For the measurement of flow rates of liquids with very low level of entrained gas and particulates, the sensor uses a rotating impeller, a small diameter compared to the pipe bore, and a non-moving element. The non-moving element and a rotating magnetic field induce voltage pulses in the sensor electronics. The electronics analyze the frequency and determine the amount of fluid flowing through the pipe.

With no moving parts, the Signet Model 515 is easy to install, maintain, and offers exceptional value with little or no maintenance. The output signal of the Model 515 is a sinusoidal frequency capable of driving a self-powered flowmeter (Model 5090). The wide dynamic flow range allows the sensor to measure liquid flow rates in full pipes and can be used in low pressure systems.

Other Signet sensors include a magnetic flow sensor, vortex and paddlewheel flowmeters, and a turbidity controller. The Signet model 515 is in stock and available at GFS in 7 different ranges from 0.3 to 100 GPM.
