The reflectiveness is achieved by soaking the tape in a resin bath that has been combined with glass fibre. The material is then dyed and a special agent is included in the process to create an anti-drip finish. The jacket has a detachable lining which is made of recycled wool and nylon, inspired by military blankets.
VALENTINO VVV PRINTED PADDED COAT: for the coldest winter weather. Valentino\'s take on the down jacket: this time by the Italian brand Valentino, who has partnered up with Japanese fashion legend Jun Takahashi and his brand Undercover. The jacket is comprised of a silk outer shell (an unconventional fabric choice) with a print inspired by time travel, and filled with goose down.
DSQUARED2 PADDED DENIM JACKET: For when you don\'t want to wear a coat. For something a little less conventional I\'ve chosen the Padded Denim Jacket from DSquared2. The jacket is a perfect marriage of denim and down featuring not-so-subtle DSquared2 branding emblazoned across the back. The goose down fill runs through the whole jacket (not just the visible padded sections) allowing for maximum warmth on winter days.
MONCLER LOIRE JACKET: For cold, dry days. Moncler is a brand founded on outerwear and this piece is a standout of their FW19 collections. Unlike the bright colours featured in the men’s Moncler jacket, I’ve chosen something a little more subdued opting instead for a unique fabrication on the outer shell: ivory micro-corduroy. Not a piece to be worn during a heavy downpour, however, the down fill provides the perfect protection from the most bitter winter cold. |
