Tanja Sonc (1992) belongs to the generation of young Slovene violinists. She has received many awards in national and international competitions.

In 2011 she won the first prize at the Brahms Competition in P�rtschach, Austria and in 2012 she was awarded laureate at the Ferdo Livadić International Competition for young Musicians, in Croatia, part of the Samobor Music Festival.

Tanja was absolute winner of the Young Virtuoso - Etudes and Scales Competition held in Zagreb Croatia, and she won the national Temsig Competition in Slovenia

If you didn't know it before now, I am sorry to tell you that a wonderful member of Desktop Nexus, Kate Hatheway has passed away...peacefully in her sleep on February 27, 2016. I didn't find out until today. I'm letting you know in case you would like to leave a message on her profile. (Check Kate's Personal information on her profile page, because her sisters have left a note there...)

My Recently Favorited Wallpapers are Dedicated to Miss Kate !

Kate was one of a kind down to earth, honest as the rise of the morning sun and a faithful & loyal friend. At times when one of our dn family friends left the dn with no good-bye it made her
very sad. And even when it seemed apparent that they might not return, Kate would still post on their profile in hopes that they would somehow know she cared about them. Many a time she would send me a pm saying I sure miss this person and wish they would come back again. She and I agreed that if
possible when we would leave we would hope to be able to
say goodbye, so other members would not worry about us.

Kate had a delightful, infectious, wonderful sense of humor ! She would write one word or one sentence on my profile and I would practically fall off my chair in laughter !
She had the same effect on me as George Burns one of our
great comedians on Jack Benny. Jack Benny got George's
sense of humor & I most definetly got Kate's sense of humor. Somehow Kate knew how to hit the ball right out of the park and bring friendship and laughter to our day. She also was there when members faced challenges and expressed her support, concern & prayers.

Kate took great pride in her up-loads to the dn-site and it made her so happy that her contributions of wallpapers
brought happiness to others.

I am somehow lost right now without her bright light here
at our dn family but I know soon she will be shinning bright
right from my heart & there My Fabulous Miss Kate will
be until we meet again on the other side.

Miss Kate dedicated this wonderful wallpaper from
Gone With The WInd with the handsome Clark Gable
& the beautiful Viviane Leigh. to me. I was so touched
by her thoughtfulness and I had left it as my desktop wallpaper for a long period of time not wanting to change it. After many many weeks had passed she stopped in for a visit and said on my profile , " it's ok to change your Desktop Wallpaper, my feeling won't be hurt, you don't have to
keep it up forever.
I thought that was so cute of her and I stopped and
said well I just love you and the wallpaper too much
to change it just yet. Miss kate, I sure do miss you
and I am grateful for everyday that we shared here
together at our dn family and I will always always
remember you. My heart is broken and no one
ever ever like my one and only the fabulous
Miss Kate.
