There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His
father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every
time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into
the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.
Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his
anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his
temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each
day that he was able to hold his temper. The days
passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his
father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to
the fence. He said, "You have done well, boy, but look
at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the
same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar
just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw
it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there."

The little boy then understood how powerful his words
were. He looked up at his father and said "I hope you
can forgive me father for the holes I put in you."

"Of course I can," said the father.

It's not always anger, it is your actions in general.
There are no "fresh starts" in life. There is no new
beginning. Forgiveness comes easy for many
people but the scars of the past, they never go
away. Watch what you do today, because sometimes
the price isn't worth the reward.

A priest, a minister, and a guru sat discussing the best positions for prayer, while a telephone repairman worked nearby.

"Kneeling is definitely the best way to pray," the priest said.

"No," said the minister. "I get the best results standing with my hands outstretched toward Heaven."

"You're both wrong," the guru said. "The most effective prayer position is lying down on the floor."

The repairman could contain himself no longer. "Hey, fellas," he interrupted. "The best praying I ever did... was when I was hanging upside-down, from a telephone pole."

Are you really here?
I hate growing older, but it sure beats dying young!

My goal for 2016 was to lose 10 pounds. Only 15 to go.

I ate salad for dinner! Mostly croutons & tomatoes. Really just one big, round crouton covered with tomato sauce. And cheese. Okay, FINE, it was a pizza!

How to prepare Tofu: 1. Throw it in the trash... 2. Grill some meat.

I don't mean to brag but... I finished my 14-day diet in just 3-hours and 20-minutes.

A recent study has found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than men who mention it.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet to change the TV channel.

Senility has been a smooth transition for me.

Remember back when we were kids and every time it was below zero, they closed our schools? Me neither.

I may not be that funny, athletic, good looking, smart, or talented... Sorry, but I forgot where I was going with this.

I love being over 50. I learn something new every day... and forget 5 others.

A thief broke into my house last night... He started searching for money so I got up and searched with him.

My dentist told my wife that she need a crown. She was like, "I KNOW! Tell my husband!"

I think I'll just put an "Out of Order" sticker on my forehead and call it a day.

PS: Sunday, March 13, was the beginning of Daylight Savings Time.

Also, I sure hope you remembered to set your bathroom scale back 10 pounds.

15. Airplanes do expect to be tied down.

However, when airplanes go quiet, just like women, it’s usually not very good.
