How to Remove Sprayer Hose From Kitchen Faucet

If you have a pull-out kitchen faucet and need to replace the sprayer hose, follow these steps. Unscrew the nut on the hose, and then slide off the plastic weight. Then, push the spout open and feed the new spout accross the faucet. When the hose has been removed, replace the spout with a new one.

Unplug the sprayer hose

Unplug the sprayer hose from the faucet body. Once disconnected, gently pull it away from the mounting hole. Then, unscrew the hose connector with pliers or a wrench. Insert the tailpiece back into the mounting hole. Carefully place the new spout into the hose\'s base. If the sprayer spout is attached to a brass nipple, it should have a gasket around it. If not, use plumber\'s putty to create a new seal.

In some cases, the hose is attached to a faucet with a quick-connect device. These are two-part systems used to make plumbing connections fast and convenient. Thread the collared portion of the quick-connect device onto the nipple on the faucet. Then, push it onto the nipple under the faucet. If the quick-connect device is screwed onto the nipple, remove it first.

Unscrew the sprayer nozzle

The sprayer flex line is connected to a copper tube. To remove this, simply twist it counterclockwise or perpendicular to the pipe to release it. Once free, you can unscrew the sprayer nozzle and take it to a hardware or home improvement store to buy a new one. A sprayer head is usually inexpensive and available at any hardware or home improvement store.

Disconnect the water supply lines

Once you\'ve disconnected the water supply lines, turn on the faucet to remove the sprayer hose. If it\'s a pull-out faucet, turn it on and remove the hose from the brass-threaded shank. Afterward, you can remove the hose by removing the Metal Clip from the nut. You\'ll have to unscrew the nut again, and then carefully twist the spray nozzle to separate it from the brass-threaded shank of the kitchen faucet.

To disconnect the sprayer hose from the kitchen faucet, turn the nut counterclockwise. You\'ll need to uninstall the hose head from the faucet body. Once you\'ve removed the head, the hose can be unhooked from the faucet body. To prevent water from returning, pull the nut on the swivel. Once the nut is removed, the sprayer flex line should be removed from the swivel nut. If you want to keep the swivel, loop the swivel-nut and the flange, so that it doesn\'t fall back down the neck.

Remove the sprayer hose

To remove the sprayer hose from the Taps, locate the nut and then loosen the nut on the sprayer base. Typically, the hose has a quick-connect fitting that allows you to change out the sprayer easily. You need to unscrew the brass nuts in the sprayer nut to remove the sprayer horn. Once the nut is loose, simply unscrew the nut and the hose.
