Trance is subgenre of the EDM(Electronic Dance Music) or you can just call it Electronic.
A lot of people thinks that Techno music is like the only electronic genre. But it's not.
There's Techno, Trance, Electro, Dance, Hardstyle, Drum'n'Bass etc.
Trance, the normal Trance, which is Progressive, is like 6 to 10 minutes long.
It starts off with intro's and then soon progresses to the main melody, along with transitions and build-ups. Then the outro's is like the intro's, it starts to losen up this and that, till it finish...
I'm not good at describing, but you could search for one in Youtube.

But select the one with (ASOT123) in the title.

It's one of my favourites, It's not the Original Mix, you might get bored with the long intro's and outro's that a lot of people don't like.
But this is for starters.

When you're listening to trance, you have to feel it... Just saying :P
