Indians and Volunteering: what’s the connection?
Learning a new concept that can make you a better person is something that interest many people all around the globe. There is an Indian concept of living that will serve in building your personality and make you develop a sense of passion and collaboration with others. This concept is about sharing with others good words, financial aids or beneficial favour. This is about the act of volunteering.

What is meant by Volunteering in the Indian concept?

Voluntarism is not about just helping poor and the persons in need; it is about collaborating to make the world a better place and maintain the sustainable development for your country and the other as well.
It represent the common humanity, where everyone is ready to volunteer in forming and constructing educational platforms, roads, and homes. In a result create a world of unity and good deeds.

Shramdaan which is a tradition practiced by millions of Indians who were inspired by Gandhi the grand leader, has its role in maintaining Voluntarism in India. With this tradition, many Indians participate voluntarily in constructing rural towns and areas.
Guru Nanak, who founded the Kara Seva based on the Shramdaan principle in the community of Kartarpur in Pakistan. This is also plays a good impact on helping to raise the awareness about the importance of Volunteering in India.
