It’s no secret that reviews come with benefits for a business. Positive reviews can increase search engine optimization endeavors. They can lead to more sales and bring in more customers. Reviews have the power to influence customer decision making hugely. It’s important to know how to get reviews so others can share their experiences with potential customers.

Putting your reviews at the front can increase customer feedback. You should think about leaving a few reviews on your homepage. If customers think their review may land on the homepage, they are more likely to leave a review — people like being appreciated. Placing reviews on your homepage shows that you value the time people take to leave feedback. You can add a link at the top of the page as well so that leaving feedback is in the front of customer\'s minds through the purchasing process.

You also want to make sure you are using the same sites as your customers. If your customers do not utilize Yelp, having a place for reviews on Yelp is not going to help you. You want to make sure that you are accessible. Providing an avenue for feedback utilizing an avenue customer already utilize increases feedback. Facebook, Instagram, and Google can all be used to leave Feedback. Make sure your businesses review pages are accessible from the main webpage.

Make sure that you follow up when reviews are left. Even if you send an email to customers after a purchase, it is a way to let them know you appreciate them. A simple email can set you aside from competitors. It can also let customers know they are valued and their business matters. When customers feel good or feel like a business has gone out of its way to ensure they have a good experience, it increases the likelihood that they will leave a review.

When a customer leaves a glowing and positive review, make sure you respond. Do not just ignore the review. Let them know that their comments are appreciated, and you are glad that they had such a positive experience. Make them feel appreciated and valued by telling them that you look forward to doing business with them again. This increases the likelihood that they, or others, will leave more reviews in the future. You also want to make sure that you ask their opinion before you share their review with other sites, such as social media. ‘he will go a long way in building your business’ reputation.

You also want to respond to negative reviews. Responding and addressing negative reviews can increase positive reviews. You may encourage someone that left a negative review to leave another review or edit the current review by addressing their concerns. Apologize for the negative experience that they had and let them know that you would like to address the issue. By making yourself available and addressing problems that arise, you show that you are doing your best to ensure customer satisfaction; even when mistakes are made.
