Shalom4U has commented on the profile of margarita8as: Philippians 2:1-8 (NKJV)Unity Through Humility2 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. The Humbled and Exalted Christ5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Not only that but we are all baptized into one body ! |
Shalom4U has commented on the profile of margarita8as: too be very simple...Posted by Shalom4U 2/17/15 at 2:58pmIt is one thing to say your a Christian and another thing to be one and to be a doer the word and not a hearer, only...Galatians 5:16-26 (NKJV)Walking in the Spirit16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.James 4:1-10 (NKJV)Pride Promotes Strife4 Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 Adulterers and] adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealouslyâ€?6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:“God resists the proud,But gives grace to the humble.â€Humility Cures Worldliness7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up |

Shalom4U has commented on the profile of Talislanta: Dear Brian,The MEANING & HISTORY of your name....The meaning of this name is not known for certain but it is possibly related to the old Celtic element bre meaning "hill", or by extension "high, noble". It was borne by the semi-legendary Irish king Brian Boru, who thwarted Viking attempts to conquer Ireland in the 11th century. He was slain in the Battle of Clontarf, though his forces were decisively victorious. The name was common in Ireland before his time, and even more so afterwards. It came into use in England in the Middle Ages, introduced by Breton settlers. It subsequently became rare, but was revived in the 20th century. |

Shalom4U has commented on the profile of pmilota: Hello Peter, I have an African Grey Parrot that can tell me before a seizure is going to happen unless it hits when I am sleeping, because like homing Pigeons can home and find they way home unless there is a storm then they lose there ability. So my seizures are the storm that upsets my parrot. |
Shalom4U has commented on the profile of jacob-28: Jacob, here is the meaning of your name and why that is cool is because whenever any-one speaks to you your name they are speaking the meaning of it over you, that is why God changed peoples names in the Bible...JACOBGENDER: MasculineUSAGE: English, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Jewish, BiblicalOTHER SCRIPTS: יַעֲקֹב (Hebrew)PRONOUNCED: JAY-kÉ™b (English), YAH-kawp (Dutch) [key]Meaning & HistoryFrom the Latin Iacobus, which was from the Greek Ιακωβος (Iakobos), which was from the Hebrew name יַעֲקֹב (Ya'aqov). In the Old Testament, Jacob (later called Israel) is the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the father of the twelve founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was born holding his twin brother Esau's heel, and his name is explained as meaning "holder of the heel" or "supplanter". Other theories claim that it is in fact derived from a hypothetical name like יַעֲקֹבְ×ֵל (Ya'aqov'el) meaning "may God protect".The English names Jacob and James derive from the same source, with James coming from Latin Iacomus, a later variant of Iacobus. Unlike English, many languages do not have separate spellings for the two names. In England, Jacob was mainly regarded as a Jewish name during the Middle Ages, though the variant James was used among Christians. Jacob came into general use as a Christian name after the Protestant Reformation. A famous bearer was Jacob Grimm (1785-1863), the German linguist and writer who was, with his brother Wilhelm, the author of 'Grimm's Fairy Tales'.Related Names See All Relations Show Family Tree VARIANTS: Jaycob (English), Jacobus, Jakob, Sjaak (Dutch), Jakob (Swedish), Jakob (Norwegian), Jakob (Danish), Yaakov, Yakov, Akiba, Akiva (Hebrew)DIMINUTIVES: Coby, Jake, Jeb, Koby (English), Cobus, Coos, Jaap, Kobe, Kobus, Koos (Dutch), Ib, Jeppe (Danish), Kapel, Koppel, Yankel (Yiddish)FEMININE FORMS: Coba, Jacoba, Jacobina, Jacobine (Dutch), Jacobine (Norwegian), Bine, Jacobine (Danish)OTHER LANGUAGES: Yakub, Yaqoob, Yaqub (Arabic), Hagop, Hakob (Armenian), Jakes (Basque), Iakobos (Biblical Greek), Yaakov (Biblical Hebrew), Iacobus (Biblical Latin), Yakov (Bulgarian), Jaume, Jaumet (Catalan), Jago (Cornish), Jakov, Jakob, JakÅ¡a (Croatian), Jakub (Czech), Jaagup, Jakob, Jaak, Jaakob (Estonian), Jaakko, Jaakoppi, Jaska (Finnish), Jaak (Flemish), Jacques (French), Japik (Frisian), Iago (Galician), Iakob, Koba (Georgian), Jakob (German), Iakopa, Kimo (Hawaiian), Jakab, Jákob (Hungarian), Séamus, Shamus, Sheamus, Séamas (Irish), Giacobbe, Giacomo, Jacopo, Iacopo, Lapo (Italian), Iacomus, Jacobus (Late Roman), JokÅ«bas (Lithuanian), Jakov (Macedonian), Hemi (Maori), Jakub, Kuba (Polish), Iago, Jaime, Jacó (Portuguese), Yakov, Yasha (Russian), Seumas, Jamie (Scottish), Jakov (Serbian), Jakub (Slovak), Jakob, Jaka, JaÅ¡a (Slovene), Jacobo, Jaime, Yago (Spanish), Yakup (Turkish), Yakiv (Ukrainian), Iago (Welsh) |
Shalom4U has commented on the profile of jacob-28: Jacob, God loves both the saved & sinner, but He hates the sin. So if anyone hates you then they have a problem in their own heart ... the books of 1,2,3John teaches that in the Bible. AGAPE in Christ, Joseph |
