From the BBC's "London on Film" event at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, 11th June 2012. The concert featured the BBC Concert Orchestra playing music from films with some connection to London released over the past 50 years



As the climax to the evening, two songs from Quadrophenia were featured.

Helene Grimaud is the soloist in Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor op. 54 with the NDR Symphony Orchestra (today's: NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra) under the baton of Thomas Hengelbrock, Chief Conductor of the orchestra at the time.

German composer, pianist, and influential music critic...
He is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of the Romantic era.
