A beautiful princess was looking for a consort. Nobles and wealthy suitors came from all over with wonderful gifts: jewelry, land, armies, thrones ... Among the candidates was a young commoner who did not have more wealth than love and perseverance.
When it came time to speak, he said:
Princess, I\'ve loved you all my life. As I am a poor man and I have to give you treasures, I offer my sacrifice as proof of love. Hundred days I will be sitting under the window, no more food and no more rain clothes that I\'m wearing. That will be my dowry.

The princess, moved by such a gesture of love, decided to accept:

-You will have the opportunity: if you pass that test, I betroth.

Thus passed the hours and days. The suitor remained outside the palace, enduring the sun, wind, snow, freezing nights. Without blinking, staring at the balcony to his beloved, brave subject remained firm in its commitment to a time without fail.

Occasionally the actual window curtain betrayed slender figure of the princess, who with a noble gesture and a smile approved slaughter. Everything was going swimmingly, bets were made and some optimists began to plan the festivities.

When the day ninety-nine, the residents of the area came out to cheer the next county. All was joy and fun, but when there was a time for the deadline, to the astonishment of the audience and the perplexity of the princess, the boy stood up and, without explanation, moved slowly away from the place where he had remained almost The Hundred Days.

A few weeks later, while wandering through a lonely road, a child of the region reached out and asked him point blank:

- What happened? You were one step away from achieving the goal, why lose that opportunity? Why you retired?

With a deep shock and tears poorly disguised, the commoner answered aloud:

- The princess and saved me a day of suffering, not even an hour. Not deserve my love.

"When we are willing to give the best of ourselves as proof of affection or loyalty, including the risk of losing our dignity, we deserve at least one word of understanding or encouragement. PEOPLE MUST BE LOVE worthy of being offered "...

-Princesa, te he amado toda la vida.

No merecia mi amor.

"CUANDO ESTAMOS DISPUESTOS A DAR LO MEJOR DE NOSOTROS MISMOS COMO PRUEBA DE AFECTO O LEALTAD, INCLUSO A RIESGO DE PERDER NUESTRA DIGNIDAD, MERECEMOS AL MENOS UNA PALABRA DE COMPRENSIÒN O ESTIMULO. LAS PERSONAS TIENEN QUE HACERSE MERECEDORAS DEL AMOR QUE SE LES OFRECE…"
