About Me:So if the 13-concert "Rising Star" tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland by the Sarah Morrow Quintet in October, plus the release in France of her first CD, "Greenlight" (RDC), is not exactly hard news, it's still an occasion. Very few women have ever improvised professionally on the trombone. Annie Whitehead in London now, and the late Melba Liston, who played with Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie and Quincy Jones, are the only ones who come readily to mind.
