Happy
I combined two on my older poems (The Camp Fire, In The Night) for a friend, at school.

The whispering voices of the night
Echo through the hills with a sigh
As a piercing shower of stars
Make footprints in the sky.

The most glorious moon glow
Lights up the dark lake,
A jagged white mountain of vast height
Fades into dust for the sandman to take.

The mist on the lake flows away in the wind,
But it may come once more to howl at the moon,
Then flutters away without a sound
As if to say, “Good bye, I’ll see you soon.”

Then the darkness slowly crumbles away,
And the light from the camp fire
Blankets our skin with warm delight,
It has now become a heavenly desire.
