Spring in Yellowstone Yellowstone is thawing out, the East Entrance has new waterfalls where the snow melt kisses the road, the Lake is partially frozen and the Elk are having their calves. Elk Wake Up Call One of the best things about living in Yellowstone is the morning wake up call of an elk bugling in the distance. They are amazing creatures, but highly dangerous, especially since we're coming in the elk mating season....
