My Website: | www.mlbiblio.com | | About Me: | I am a online bookstore owner and book reviewer, who lives out in the countryside on a ranch in Texas with my husband, my hound dog & 3 cats. | | Interests: | voracious reading, online business, outdoor life, the countryside (fishing off my dock, hiking thru my forest, hanging out on my porch & watching the birds sings & the cows moo, & my dog howl. It is so cool. The butterflies fly around with the dragonflies and the bees around all the flowers. How wonderful is that? Have a beer and kick back, watching it all with good company. Paradise! | | Favorite Music: | I am an eclectic listener. I love rock & roll, classical, punk, light jazz, swing, big band, R&B, alternative as well as country. I rotate according to my moods. Nothing is better than a booming Beethoven or Wagner symphony when you are cooking, but Rock & Rock is definitely better for House Cleaning because you can dance to it while cleaning the house. My all time favorite? Don't have one. I love them all. Handel, Breaking Benjamin, Genesis, The Eli Young Band, Shinedown, Willy Nelson, Bach, Simple Plan, Otis Spann, The Police, The Cure, Sum 41, Beethoven, Greenday, George Harrison, The Cars, to name a few. Some music goes better with some activities. You have to be in the mood for it. Wagner is wrong for anything light. The Cure works for almost anything. Genesis works depending whether it is Old Genesis with Peter Gabriel, or New Genesis without Peter. They are very different, and you have to be in the mood for different things for old and new genesis, when Phil Collins became the lead singer. It all started blending together after that, along with Phil's solo career. It became Pop, not Alternative. Just some things you take into account when dialing in your preferences when selecting the right music for the right activity. | | Favorite Books: | I do have a few favorite books. One is The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters, a 3 book Series by Gordon Dahlquist, the Lymond Chronicles & the Nicolo Chronicles by Dame Dorothy Dunnett as well as The Tale of the Short Sun by Gene Wolfe which includes 4 books which are absolutely spectacular. You can buy them in a 2 book set now. I would also include I Know Not by James Daniel Ross. It is the only standalone book here - but what a book it is. I saw it for the first time when I was 14 years old, and I cried my eyes out for the first time at a movie. Rhett and Scarlett grabbed my heart and didn't let go. I loved it. My second favorite movie is Bandits with Bruce Willis, Kate Blanchette & Billie Bob Thornton. I love this movie. Bruce and Billie Bob are Bank Robbers, while Kate is a bored housewife who is being treated horribly. One day, she chucks it all away after her husband makes his final mistake. Speeding in her car - she hits Billie Bob, who takes her hostage, drives her to their hideout, and things progress from there. Bruce takes a fast liking to Kate - which makes Billie Bob crazy, and Billie Bob likes her too. The movie is about their love triangle and what happens when they want out of the bank robbing business and want to retire to Mexico to open a Nightclub, but the police have other ideas. An amazing movie - if you haven't seen it - please do so. I cannot recommend it enough. | | Favorite TV Shows: | I though LOST was pretty good, though the ending was rather Dues ex Machina for me. I loved Trip to Mars - A television show that seemed to be about a cop that got sent back to 1973 after he was hit over the head. Certain people said that they would help him come back to his present. It was all a mystery. The ending of the series is quite a surprise. 1973 is a kick. The music is awesome. I also loved Hell on Wheels - the Historic Railroad story about a man putting through a railroad line and the camp where the construction of that line happens. The main character is a foreman, who has his own agenda. He is looking for his wife's killer. He takes sidetrips from his job to seek soldiers, settlers and others who could be her killer, while performing all the functions of his job. The railroad owner is very political - driven by a Senator who is corrupt, he makes deals with all kinds of people to line his pockets, murder people and make sure the line goes through. Very exciting and complicated, so you can't miss an episode, or you might get lost. | Favorite Quotes: | Curiosity is, in great and generous minds, the first passion and the last.

This is an amazing picture - right at the perfect moment when the dolphin was surfing the wave. How did you do that? Get that perfect moment? It is so beautiful. With the sun shining in the background, the composure is fundamentally ideal, and the colors are striking. BRAVO! |
