Keep it up. Especially, if you find it to be fun.

Howdy folk. There is no sense in leaving the journal blank, so I\'ll type a little about myself.

I\'m basically home-bound, so I have lots of time on my hands, which would drive me crazy, if I didn\'t have ways to keep my mind occupied, other than daydreaming, that is.

So, My favorite pastimes are searching the internet for information, and collecting it. To bad I\'m not more devoted to keeping it organized, and going over it, but I\'m just an information hoarder.

Another pastime is collecting, and studying programs, which I\'ve done since way before the internet, when my computer didn\'t even have a hard drive, and I had to keep switching off disks.

I really like open source programs, but have some I paid for, because of the job they do. I love computer graphics, and have any different programs I use, my most often used ones are Gimp, and Paint.net, I also use Twisted Brush at times. plus a few others I have and use once in awhile, to gain and maintain familiarity with them. I won\'t mention the names of the paid programs, they got enough from me when I bought the programs, I ain\'t going to give them free advertisement too. And no, not Photoshop, never ever Photoshop.

I\'m so much into computers, That while I was homeless, I went through many, plus used the library, and for quite sometime, I was allowed to go in this one office in DC, and use theirs, until I got my own and set it up there. I\'ve even had one set up in a shopping cart, that I plugged in at a few different places, and got one of the early Wi-fi cards from a throwaway computer, so I could \'borrow\' Wi-fi, from some of the local offices, until they started being more secure. I sure met a lot of people as a result of them seeing me plugged in, and using it. It was enjoyable.

At one time during the days of dial-up, and living in West Virgina, I used to be able to go downstairs and pour a cup of coffee then go back upstairs, while waiting for a page to load, It was really slow in the country on those old landlines.

I\'m setting up a home recording studio. It almost has everything I want, except some sound proofing. Problem is since I joined DN, and a little before, I haven\'t been messing much with any of my instruments. I haven\'t even spent much time with Karaoke. I did play a song I wrote for my nurse, and home-care aide to hear, after being begged to do it, by the nurse.

Well I like doing computer Graphics and swapping them back and forth between the different programs, to get the type of result I want, but the programs I don\'t care to use are word processing, and internet blogging, so consequently, I\'m going to end here.

Thanks for reading.
