Keep the core trio of exercises in mind and always have them in each of your routines. This trio of exercises includes dead lifts, bench presses and squats. These exercises simultaneously increase both muscle mass and strength. Vary these exercises regularly.

Keep every one of your workouts to less than 60 minutes, maximum. After more than an hour of intense exercise, your body will start producing unwanted levels of the stress hormone, cortisol. Cortisol may block testosterone and thwart your muscle-building efforts. You will optimize your efforts by keeping your workouts short and intense.

You need to drink at least 4 liters of water every day if you want your muscles to grow. The body needs water to function properly but muscles need water to be able to rebuild after a workout and to grow in size. Drinking water is easy if you carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go.
