For those who have never worked, compiling a resume can be a challenge. Because of the lack of work experience, creating a resume should be as attractive as possible. In addition, the resume should be able to clearly describe your skills on one page. In the current pandemic, many people are less fortunate and some have even lost their jobs. For this reason, finding a job is more difficult than usual. It should also be noted, if a list of work history does not necessarily prepare a person for success in getting a job. The purpose of the resume is to make the company interested in inviting and conducting interviews. Here are some tips for making a resume for someone with no experience!

1. Pay attention to the layout of the information

When creating a resume, don\'t forget to pay attention to the layout of the information listed. HRD will read from left to right and top to bottom. Make sure all important information is listed in the top left corner. Include names to educational descriptions and information such as internships to organizations in easy-to-read sections.

2. Use of formal photos

Quite a few examples of good CVs include photos of the candidates. Usually the photo is placed at the top of the CV. If you want to include a photo in your CV, use a formal photo. Choose photos that are professional and attractive. Avoid using freestyle photos such as selfies or photos with many people.

3. Don\'t focus on design but on content

Many companies have started using the applicant tracking system (ATS) in the hiring process. This recruitment system uses a computer system to select the right job candidates with certain keywords. Therefore, it is important to use a resume format that can be read properly by the system.

4. Understand the job description

Always understand the expected job description and then tailor your resume with the description. Explain your potential to convince recruiters that you are the right candidate for the position. By tailoring your resume to the job, you only focus on listing the skills relevant to the job.

5. Include contact information

Contact information is a mandatory thing that must be included in a resume. Starting with a phone number, an email address, and an address can usually make it easier for recruiters to contact you again. Avoid providing unimportant personal information.

6. Writing skills

Whether you are experienced or not, try to include the skills you have and are suited to the position you are applying for. Write down your skills in detail and clearly so that HRD can easily read them. If the position you are applying for does not match your skills, don\'t make it up to get accepted.

7. Use good language

Sometimes recent graduates are confused when they have to use Indonesian or English to make a CV. In reality, the use of language can be adapted to the institution for which you are applying. If the company requires English skills, use a CV in English. The most important thing is to write a CV in good, polite language. Pay attention to spelling and grammar to make it easier for HRD to read.
