[B]Research Environment and Facilities[/B]

Telkom University boasts an impressive array of research centers and facilities, including the Advanced Wireless Technologies Research Center, Internet of Things (IoT) Research Center, Digital Business Ecosystem Research Center, Human Centric Engineering Research Center, and the Advanced Creative Network Research Center. These centers are equipped with advanced facilities such as high-performance computers, which support the university\'s mission to foster innovative research.

The university\'s research environment has been nationally recognized by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency as the most innovative Indonesian university. Internationally, Telkom University is actively involved in the Telecom Infra Project Community Lab (TIP Lab), the first TIP Lab in Southeast Asia.

Telkom University has secured substantial research funding, with internal funding reaching IDR 36 billion (USD 2.5 million) over the past three years. External funding from partners has also been significant, totaling IDR 46 billion (USD 3.2 million), managed by the Directorate of Research and Community Service. These funds have enabled the university to collaborate with national and international industries and institutions, further enhancing its research capabilities.

The university\'s commitment to community service is evident in its Tri Dharma approach, which includes Education, Research, and Community Service. One notable example is the Village Technology Service Post (Posyantekdes) initiative, led by Dr. Rosad Ma’ali El Hadi. This project has developed innovative products such as paving block machines, paper recycling systems, potato peeling machines, and appropriate technologies for agriculture, animal husbandry, and food processing. These innovations have been recognized with intellectual property rights from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.

Telkom University has achieved numerous accolades for its research and innovation. In 2022, the university was ranked 401-500 in Asia and 9th nationally by Times Higher Education. It also won three awards in the 2022 Research and Technology Higher Education Award, including the Gold winner for the best Work Report, Gold winner for collaboration with industry, and Silver winner for the best international cooperation.

Additionally, Telkom University has been recognized for its open access to information, ranking 1st in Private Higher Education in Indonesia and 1408th globally in the Webometrics 2022 version. The university has also been ranked 1st in PTS in Indonesia and 2nd nationally in the THE Young University Rankings, which recognizes universities aged 50 years or less.


[B]Innovations and Impact[/B]

Telkom University has developed several innovative products that have been utilized by industries in Indonesia. One notable example is the intelligent lighting system innovation, which was developed in collaboration with PT. Bio Farma. This IoT-based green ecosystem aims to build sustainable environments.

The university has also won international awards such as the APICTA (Asia Pacific ICT Alliance) Awards in Pakistan for its two best innovations: the Digital Stethoscope and Amons. These innovations aim to increase ICT awareness and bridge the digital divide, enhancing economic and trade relations, facilitating technology transfer, and offering business opportunities.

Telkom University is committed to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various activities such as community service, training, research results, and innovations.
