Not sure it's 'transonic' since, IMHO, I don't believe the 'Spirit' can break the sound barrier!

I don't believe that the 'little bear' ever saw actual combat in WW-II, but, IMHO, it was the BEST airplane of the entire era! Gorgeous shot of a classic radial-engine fighter!

I understand that the 'Hustler' required a light, but continual, 'touch' to keep thrust 'synchronized' between the engines! Without this type of attention, the place had a nasty 'yaw tendency' - esp....
