I should not complain, but if I see another snow flake I shall have a breakdown! Germany is white, white, white, and I can't imagine that it will ever be green again! All of those who live in a warm climate should be happy! It does seem romantic with lights shining on a white and shining landscape, and I agree that it is beautiful - a white Christmas (which we had this year) is something that most people wish for. However, I assure everybody that it is most unromantic to be marching around with a shovel most of the time, getting the driveway free to take the car out of the garage, to then slip and slide in second gear just to do the shopping! My cats refuse to go outside and only sleep and eat and are getting more than fat,but any self-respecting cat would do the same I suppose. My furry dog Snoopy battles with snow balls on his tummy when we walk in the forest, and I have to be careful that he doesn't disappear in the snow as he's quite small! A nice part however is the feeding of the wild birds - my garden is full of them every morning after I have fed them, but even the ravens are having a bad time this year, and they are here as well. A poor little mouse has settled in on the terrace in a flower pot with the bird food - oh well, it doesn't really matter that he has chewed the bird seed bag, at least he's eating, he certainly can't "go home" for a while!
Well that's all the complaints I have today - to those who read this - and who are also in a snow-bound land - travel safely and be warm!
