Poem: One Lone Rose

Alone I lie within the sea,
not one touch to be given me.

Alone I lie to wither and fade
my beauty ebbing alone in this grave.

Once loved for my color, my fragrance indeed
but now forgotten amongst the leaves.

Mist and fog, wave or tide
can not change, and can not hide

How lonely I am, just tossed aside,
the loneliness I feel, consumed inside.

Left here to fade, left here to die.
