A friend to me is one who cares.
Up hill or down, I do not care where.

To smile and to weep, to hope and to keep,
Those things that are dear, those things that we fear.

To mourn with me, to share joy with me.
To be there for me, I know not where.

A friend to me is one who dares,
One who loves and one who cares,

To step out and defend,
To stand firm to the end.
