The A4M Skyhawk
My time in the USMC was spent with the A4M (now long retired).
MCAS El Toro and MAG-13 was home to me for many years.
I happened to be in the MAG operations office, but right across the road from me were some of the Marine Corps best squadrons.
VMA-211 Scooter Squadron
VMA-311 Scooter Squadron
VMA-214 Scooter Squadron
H&MS-13 Scooter Squadron (TA-4J Twin Seat)
VMA(AW)-242 A6A /A6E Intruder

El Toro is long gone now...The Marines have moved.
The base is now a large housing development and a Public Park.
