Hello Everyone!
Just arrived home from a most interesting dog-sit! As a favor to my Mother, I accepted one week of sitting duties, for her "dear friends", an elderly couple. Usually any dog-sitting is done in MY own home, but this was a "favor", owing to the fact that the 2 Pekineses in question, do NOT "travel-well"!
Anyway, after settling in, I grabbed my laptop, and to my HORROR, I discovered there are STILL people on Earth who do NOT have a computer hook-up! Yikes! So, I wandered around, stunned, in sheer disbelief, ...not even a WiFi signal that was close enough! My electronic snobbery had gotten the best of me, and I was aghast!
So, I had to make peace, and somehow survive. Besides, I thought, how hard can it be? I've got my books with me! .....but it was AWFUL! I REALLY missed my DN friends, and I REALLY, REALLY missed selecting my favorite wallpapers for the week! I think the reason it was so hard was that I WAS NOT expecting to be cut-off so abruptly like that! BOOM!
Well, NEVER AGAIN! My son has just told me about an attachable "thing-a-ma-jig" he'll give me, so that I shall ALWAYS have WiFi access!
( - NOW he tells me! Ugh! )
Anyway, I'm safely home, the doggies were precious little angels. Very well behaved, and, as a bonus, I've finished my reading list up until the end of April now! Ha!
So, although I feel like I just stepped out of a previous time era, I NOW feel bombarded with present day living! Wow! Quite the experience, eh??
