I think this is the SR71B. It is a trainer and has a raised second cockpit that the trainer sat in. Only one of these was produced and it is currently on display at the Kalamazoo Air Museum in Kalamazoo, MI.
SR71 Blackbird - Head OnComment posted by Uyraell (Guest) on 11/16/08 at 02:31 AM
One of the very finest pieces of aerodynamic style as art to ever exist. Not only beautiful to look upon, but stunningly effective in the air. A true example of form and function in harmony.

This is the only SR71C, known somewhat affectionately as "The Bastard". It was constructed from the wreckage of two SR71's, and lacks the full airflow bypass system within the engines, meaning it can never attain the full speed of an SR71, A12, or YF12. "The Bastard" was used by NASA to train pilots to fly the SR71/A12/M12/YF12 series aircraft. It is unique, and the whole series did great work for many years. NASA was fortunate to have the use of some of the Blackbirds (As the SR71 family of planes is colloquially known), during a time when they were still operationally deployed. A fine picture of a fine piece of aviation history.
