I'm surprised neither of my favorite two are mentioned in anyone elses' reply - Gaara and Kimimaro are mine. I can empathize with both of their histories... not to mention just how badass Gaara is, and the fact that Kimimaro gave him a hard time. That was a sweet fight.

hofstrom85 hit the nail on the head I think. Naruto has Sasuke beat from a power and stamina standpoint, but Sasuke has the eternal Mangekyo (due to Itachi's eyes), Susano'o, and most importanly - brains. (In regards to mesy's comment - yes, Susano'o is a better defense than Gaara's sand, but it also drains a lot of chakra, so getting past Susano'o is just a matter of waiting it out.)

Dunno. It IS the only anime to keep my attention for... at least close to 500 episodes now, couldn't pinpoint the why for the life of me. That said, I LOATHE the americanized piece of shit they turned the series into. I will ONLY watch the japanese version.

In no particular order:
Toushirou - considering his age he has some incredible potential. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the one to eventually unseat Genryuusai.
Byakuya - lol - his ego reminds me of my brother.
Grimmjow - simply for his attitude; both towards those more powerful than he, and more so for his loyalty towards his underlings.
Ulquiorra - for how cold and dispass...

I'd have to give the best odds to Ulquiorra, since he has abilities that he's hidden from Aizen... I suppose it would be the Hollow equivalent to Bankai.

Gotta choose Aramant from FFIX, just because of how antagonistic he is towards the rest of the party. Ironically, FFIX is probably my least favorite of the series. Close second would have to be Auron of FFX.
