Beautiful capture, a perfect example of the blue tile ("azulejo") decoration common in many Portuguese churches.

(It feels a little strange commenting on my own photo but...)

Although at first glance this might not _look_ like sand, it should be noted that the conical shell in the upper left of the photo is actually _less_ than 0,5cm in length :-)
