I'm back. Thank you for your loyal and kind words on my page. I spent a long illness. I feel after all this time a little worn out, I ask your understanding if I can not do everything and respond immediately. I try my best. I thank you all
It's so very different here than on the east coast! It's beautiful and green and mountainous. The evergreen trees are GIGANTIC! And everyday Mt. Rainier looks different and even more mysterious. I really do love it here, though I miss the vibe of the east coast. People are friendlier there than here, and there's a lot of ppl stuck in the 60's hippie era here with very liberal attitudes. But I love the feeling of the untamed west. There are LOTS of Indian tribes here and SO much history to learn about that vastly different from the east. There are also lots of Japanese here so I can find a new sushi or terriakki joint for every night of the week if was of a mind to. Everyone here really LOVES their coffee! (There are random tiny coffee drive-thrus on every corner). Seattle is THE cleanest city I have EVER seen in the U.S (& i've been a lot of places)!! The more I discover the differences in the American landscape the more I realize what a unique country America really is. It has made me into one of the those patriotic, romantic freaks that dreams of America's 'Glory Days' as I try to imagine what it must have been like for the settlers who first went west by wagon train never knowing what lay beyond the horizon.
How's that for a description of Washington? Does it make you want to travel coast to coast to see it for yourself? It really is a humbling experience.
